They could be tempted to leave lads off for the games against Kilkenny and Galway maybe? Target the ones they absolutely have to win
Not only is Hayes the best half back in the country but we also have (when fully fit and in form) literally the best player in the country whose best position is centre forward, who has pretty much transformed the position and who transforms the limerick team when he plays there.
People are bonkers.
Nuts
Corkness is the only thing that can stop them now.
Meath and Down games.
Anyone got a heatmap of where:
a) Corkâs shots were from on Sunday
b) where their puckouts landed
Lynch hasnât been good at centre forward prob since the 21 final against cannon fodder
Aye the dead rubber, fair enough. Thought they used them for the earlier rounds
He was injured one year and had to be shifted to cover midfield another. 11 is by far his most effective position and we struggle when he isnât there. I agree Hayes is good option when lynch has been missing, he makes everything a battle and can drag us through games. But no one else can do what lynch does at 11, he sharpens our attack a hundred fold.
Midfield is by far his best position.
Maybe looking at Wod at half back and dod / lynch at mid field would be an option as well.
Completely disagree and results bear this out. And itâs far easier for opposition to detail someone to snuff him out at midfield. Youâre just incorrect on this. And you want Casey at 11, who is a class player but would be a poor imitation of Lynch.
No your wrong.
Lynch has far less influence on games from midfield and our forwards are far less threatening as a unit without him. If you track results with lynch at midfield versus 11 they go very much against you.
Weâll agree to disagree.
What results ?
He is definitely a natural half-forward but he doesnât have the particular skill set that Harnedy has and doesnât offer the same consistent puck-out option that Harnedy does. Anyway, agree to disagree.

Need to get Malachy Ryan into that team.
We need to really try to develop Coughlan and find a place for him - at the very least as a bench option who gets introduced.
If he could add a bit of aggression to match his size he could be an option.
Iâd hope we give youth its chance in the league and our generational players are spared. We still have an enviable squad but we need to inject youth - see if the likes of Aidan o Connor can bring what Tom provides.
Darragh leveled Harnedy and took the wind out of his sails. We really missed him this year - heâs a physical beast and the best distributor in our team. His deliveries were opening up cork in last 10 mins
