Limerick GAA 2023 - League champions means nothing now 🐐

Hard to believe Patrickswell is that low when you look at the Main Street considering it’s not really on the way anywhere anymore, that’s like 200 houses

Half of those are completely made up

No, Askeaton parish population would be double that

I’d reckon there’s 10k people in NCW lads, that figure sounds very low

They’ll have 1 in the coming few years in Ethan Hurley

That’s only for the current team also

The parish probably has that

That’s just excellent

Did Sean Browne play SIC,

If we’d only brought on Blanchfield sooner…

Was he injured? Thought he was decent in the league

:rofl:He must be on bucks for that pic

I don’t think so? Unless it was very briefly.

He got injured during the round robin and seemed to loose his place once Reid came in at centre back moving Deegan to the left wing. He seems to be left wing back material only so was in direct competition with Deegan.

I was surprised he wasn’t brought on earlier. Deehan was hurling fine, he just wasn’t marking up. A lot of the ball Hegarty got was when he was completely unmarked. I wouldn’t be surprised if that’s what the argument on the line between McGarry and Cody was about. McGarry and Blanchfield being Bridge men.

I just think Hego was unmarkeable on the day. The goal early gave him the confidence to power on. In like the semi, long Puck outs were sticking due to Nickys laser like deliveries and the movement of the half forwards. You cannot underestimate what confidence does for you once the first ball goes well

Pint looks iffy enough

We’ll never know if he was unmarkable because Paddy Deegan didn’t go near him most of the time

You’d think batting the ball would be an idea against him

I don’t think it’s been touched on properly but Kilkenny basically gave LK half forward line the run of the park.

Their half forwards and midfielders pushed up 100% on their puckouts with them leaving the Hego with 45 yards to run into on either side.

I was behind the goal when Waterford played them, their wing backs played very narrowly but across in a line meaning they actually worked together across the field. Even Tipps half forward line helped their backs out.

Add NQ exceptional puckouts and it was game over.
