Good to hear there was a few there, some Micky mouse venue for such a game though.
Tipp should try putting on the odd club match of a Thursday night, might help them to finally win a 2-in-a-row.
The big crowd was probably mostly made up of a load of lads on horseback and women in pyjamas on their way home from egging houses around that area.
Talk about having a lack of decorum for a club championshipā¦
Limerick club grounds donāt have stands really, Claughaun is fine. Way better than Ballybrown which is where weāre playing tomorrow. Surface in Claughaun is good.
Feohanagh team?
Im surprised how little James OāBrien plays for the Na Piarsaigh senior team.
Very strong and athletic.
Had a bad injury a few years back and never got back to the high level he was at before it.
2 matches?
Cheers
Itās the same in South Tipp for some reason.
Canāt really understand how any club wouldnāt have some form of stand in this day and age. They are probably the one asset that requires no maintenance yet will survive decades.
Limerick clubs not great for getting grants. Personally, I donāt even like sitting down for games, an oul shed like in NCW or the Bog Garden is the job.
Ye need to get a Michael Lowry.
Is there still that desperate mesh in Claughaun?
A bank around the outside of the field is better than a stand in summer anyway
Excellent and spot on summation. A draw may not be worth much to either other theyāll be a point better off than two other teams after the weekend, barring another draw.
I had a very good view of the Tom Morrissey free and, if I had to put my hand on the good book and swear a testimony, Iād have to say it was over the bar. If the two Mikes were reversed, ie Meade on the line and Browne in the umpireās coat, it could have been a different decision.
If only there was a multi billionaire philanthropist in Limerick who could help outā¦
Iād say there must be north of 50 clubs in Tipp with a good stand.
A venue with a stand built into a bank is the ultimate goal but most places arenāt this fortunate. In Tipp, Clonoulty would be a classic of this genre. The problem there though is there is nothing at the far side.
Ah sure heās too busy writing cheques for clubs all over the country, just worry about yourselves and yere 50 stands
Remember it was a Tipp man who built Na Piarsaigh from the ground upā¦

The club was founded in 1968 by Noel Drumgoole, a St Vincentās man, thatās why we wear the light blue.
He was captain of the Dublin team in 1961 beaten by Tipperary and went on to manage Limerick.
