Limerick GAA 2023 - League champions means nothing now šŸ

Facts are not a strong point of yours

Ye were at nothing until the late, great Paddy Verdon got involved. He was helped by a few more great Tipp men too.

Paddy was a legend of the club and others also from various counties but he didnā€™t build the club from the ground up that was Noel Drumgoole who was there at ground level, I donā€™t like to repeat myself but just admit you were wrong in your obvious false statement.

Lowry was a good man to arrange for grants tbf.

I donā€™t know how much even a shed would cost but most grounds in Limerick donā€™t even have lights. If I had any sort of money available for us, I would be spending them on lights over a stand every day of the week.

My favourite ground in Limerick was always the Bog Garden even when it only had a bank. Surface is unreal and thatā€™s what really matters tbh.

Claughaun is a little open maybe, prefer an enclosed ground but itā€™s very central. Some of the nicer ā€˜venuesā€™ in Limerick are a fair distance away- Doon, Ballyagran, Mountcollins.

Would agree with you on the last point. Johnny was never going to overrule him on Browneā€™s word.

Every one I was talking to thought it was over.

Last week in Tipp, an overweight and clearly injured 42 year old who could barely walk was the talking point of the weekend in a shit game in an empty Semple Stadium.

Focus on the Miller Shield mate, ffs

Anyone have the NaP / Doon team sheets from programme?

:rofl::rofl::rofl::rofl::rofl:

Lights are a huge expense to a club with current prices well over 6 figures, the bulbs need to be changed every 10-15 years plus they can be a hindrance to a club with pitch overuse and ESB costs/loss. Still a resource but it costs.

On the other hand a decent stand would definitely be done for 40-50,000 with no problems.

The stand is the one.

Incorrect.

With due respect; heā€™s no ordinary 40 year old. Heā€™d still do a job for any club in the country bar the real elite teams.

You can guarantee heā€™d win Ahane/Adare that game tonight.

@Bod95 youā€™re like Kyle Hayes there galloping up the field in a Munster Final shoving rednecks out of the road and absolutely BANGING it into the net!

A fucking masterclass.

Beaten up a stick by us the last 4 years and now theyā€™ve resorted to abusing our club games, when Tipp were a serious hurling county they used to just laugh at us, the seethe is intoxicatingšŸ¤£

Mate, this must be like Christmas to you

Itā€™s everything.

Golden is a small club in Co Tipperary really but itā€™s pitch is by far the best in the County.

They have spent lots of money on facilities through the years but the pitch came first.

In fairness, his cousin put in a fair shift tonight for Ahane, at a similar age. Got through the 60 minutes, put in a lot of hard work but the legs have gone in terms of making space to getting the shot away. Does a lot of yapping too.
