Is Robert Byrne a Tipperary hurler or a Limerick panel member?
I’m guessing Tipperary. I’m not familiar with many of their current players.

I’d never heard of him until Simon made him famous.
His last act was mortifying the two Cork boys on the sideline before whipping a monster score over. Not a bad way to go out.
Quite unedifying behaviour here on all sides.
Boy will be boys.
Is he not a man?
I don’t get into identity politics
As the Westlife boys once sang
Uh the bop bop baby pleeeease, don’t let me gooo…
we’ve come to the end of the road
These Doon lads must really hate Tipp.another one dropped a few years ago for burning a Tipp jersey…
He is back.
If you think Richie Hogan isn’t talented enough a hurler to know exactly what he was doing with his arms and elbow, then you’re a poor judge. Iv’e never quite understood the kk anger about that sending off. It was a straight red all day long I felt.
This headbutt thing is just depressing. Rightly or wrongly, these lads are role models. You can argue the ins and outs of whether they should be, but it’s just a fact that they are. It may well cost the lad involved an all Ireland medal, which is a heavy punishment. It may result in a criminal record **, an even heavier punishment.
But, and it’s quite a big but (pun unavoidable), these lads should be aware of just how much damage a headbutt can do. I’ve seen life changing damage from them. It is really not acceptable.
** Probably won’t as I’d imagine charges unlikely to be pressed after all parties have been spoken to/leant on, and there is both an innate decency in any of the players I have met, and a dislike of all the fuss.
Aaron Gillane stayed on the pitch last Sunday for a worse foul IMO.
Thanks for sharing.
Kilkenny were blackguarded, never a red card and ruined the 2019 final.
He did indeed, but if all the arguable decisions and red cards, I looked at the Richie Hogan one a few times, and it looked like a red card to me. He is such a generational talent, I just can’t see him doing it by accident. I still don’t really understand the fuss.
I looked at it a few times because Kilkenny hurling folk, out of all of us, seem reasonable and knowledgeable, and I thought I must be mistaken, but I genuinely can’t see the issue really.
Where did he make contact with on Maher on Sunday?
In the Gaelic grounds
Exactly. Fresh air. No contact.
And you’ve soft cunts looking for a red. It was a yellow for a wild pull. No contact made. Job done.
Maybe it was just Tipps year. Or maybe the circled sulkies after the shock semi-final exit made an impression on the GAA and Tipp got this crucial call in their favour. Sure the wet conditions weren’t even taken into account.
