James Stephens hammered Ballinteer St. John’s & Douglas.
Durlas Óg fairly comprehensive winners over Clooney/Quin & St. Jude’s.
Ahane play Durlas Óg in the final.

That delay couldn’t have helped.
Ahane won the fiele when I was very young. Maybe around 05 or 06 old think. By the time they were minor I don’t think they were too hectic. Have many Limerick clubs got to the final since ?
Did they beat Shels from Wexford around 2004 I think?

I’m not sure but I vaguely remember the result being called out duRing a Limerick qualifier in the Gaelic grounds I’d say. Around that time they’d three group games instead of qualifiers.
Big win for the Tipp lads in the end. Still a good achievement for Ahane to get to the final to be fair.
That’s a serious achievement by Ahane. A great traditional club who clearly are still thriving underage. They’ve a serious pick and catchment area in fairness
They had a lad with a double barrel last name which I can’t recall that was probably the most talked about early teenage hurler I have ever heard of. Think he amounted to very little by the time he was out of underage. Think rugby might have been a factor

That’s the one. Did he end up playing football for limerick?
Played senior football for Limerick at a very young age. Don’t know if he was on Limerick minor hurling panels.
I think Niamh Mulcahy was the real star of that Féile-winning side.

He won a senior cup with castletroy and famously decided to retire the night of the game.
He would have played senior football for Limerick at 18. Moved to Boston at 21 and hasn’t been back since. A very nice fella and very helpful to any Irish out there.

Seán Madden was their best hurler in that side outside of the great Niamh Mulcahy but he had an awful time with injuries
