SOB seemed to pull up in the warm up. Hopefully nothing to serious.
Emerged few minutes after the start of the game with the hamstring strapped up
C Lynch (0-02)
He must have done some savage handpassing with all that ball
Correct.
Won a couple of frees, set up a couple of scores and just looked generally awesome
Amazing what happens when he ends up at mid field
Gillane
Murphy
Morrissey
Nash
Byrnes
Kyle
O Neill
Wod
Dod
Morrissey
Lynch
Hegarty
O Brien
Casey
Gillane
Do you put wod half back and move lynch to mid field?
O Neill could end up centre forward or possibly lose out to Adam English
Coughlan done better than I was expecting from following posters on the league thread. A better than usual outing from him.
Youād have to say there is a genuine debate now over a few positions which is great for the team and not something we seriously had before
Kyle at 6 instead of Hannon
Adam English at 8 instead of DOD or WOD
AOC at 12 instead of Tom
SOB at 14 instead of (Flanagan, Gillane or Casey)
Barry Murphy at 4 instead of Finn, Casey or Nash
CON/Coughlan instead of Byrnes/Hannon
For the first year since 2018 we wonāt be rolling out the same 14/15 players if they were fit. And that competition is huge.
There is a scenario where we could be unloading players as good as Tom Morrissey, Peter Casey and Adam English from the bench to close out games
I donāt think thereās any debate over tom Morrissey and young o Connor because he got a few handy points in the league.
IMO itāll be 11 or 12 of last years team. O Brien, English and Murphy are the only ones going to break in bar injuries. Casey and hannon to come back in as well.
CON hasnāt yet overtaken an established player for a starting place as thereās been injuries to accommodate him and heās been moved around, expect that to change this year. Hopefully OāBrien and English come in too. Everyone fit thatād be three established players losing out, big calls.
Coughlan had a good game yesterday, heās a powerful player Iād have no fear of him in championship.
Given the fact we normally play with a 2 man inside forward line, is there anything to be said for naming the likes of English at 15 and given him freedom to roam around the middle? Leaving Gillane and either OāBrien or Casey inside? Have to say based on form too currently itās going to be very difficult to leave David reidy out, heās been very consistent the last 18 months
English is in the top ten hurlers in the country right now by way of league, Fitzgibbon and club form. Itās incredible to think heās not an automatic starter there he has to be.
The one player who is undroppable according to most yet apart from his all Ireland semi final last year his form the last eighteen months has been fairly mundane and thatās Gillaneā¦
We need gillane. Iād say kiely is working away on him all time. He was creating room yesterday for others.
I agree with you on his form but heās a key man. His ability to tie up defenders and win ball is second to none.
How he didnāt get a goal v cork last year Iāll never know. Twice heād the ball about 12 yards out and they both ended up frees out. Itās like the question of sport when they ask what happened next.
I reckon itāll be him, Casey and o Brien. Two ball winners with Peter Casey moving around them. Gillane and o Brien could play as a two as well. It gives you a lot of options but for limericks game to work well you need lads winning the ball long inside.
Ah lad. Mundane the last 18 months? He was Hurler of the year 2023 and people were outraged he didnāt get an All Star last year.
I think he got 2-3 from play in the Munster championship last year.
He wasnāt bad but he wasnāt quite at his best imo. I defo wouldnāt be dropping him. We will need him firing to win the all Ireland.
Any one know what night the kangaroo court sits this week and if Cian Lynch will be up before it to explain his jab on Bryan OāMara?
Itās probably being handled internally

They have a fascinating approach to such matters.
The snipers getting turned over by the Limerick C team seems to have lads all hot and bothered. Tis only the Layge
