Limerick GAA 2024-25

Limerick footballers have scored 20 plus points in 3 consecutive competitive fixtures for what must surely be the first time in history?
2-21 v Tipperary, 1-21 v WIcklow and now 4-24 v Waterford.

I’d say a lot of teams have done that this year to be fair for their first time in years. New records needed rather than comparing to before.

These new rules have ruined the game, absolutely ruined it I tells ye.Bring back the drab 0-08 to 0-09 matches. They were great.

I saw an Under 17 schools game a few weeks ago where a team scored 1 point and won, 4-1 to 2-6.

I was up at it. Was a workman like performance for a lot of it. Waterford were at nothing, but a few lapses of concentration on the Limerick side gave them chances to stay in the game.

Childs was very good midfield. Naughton obviously cleaned up with a ridiculous 4-12, Maher was good in gathering up breaks around the middle and Richter very effective.

Footballers out scoring the hurlers

Waterford actually had a few fat lads playing

There’s room now for a few chunky lads in the FF and FB lines now

I think there is a parachute role doing relief milking in Kikdimo for a year after you are dropped

Even on our last legs and the same simpletons are stull triggered.
Its fascinating to watch.

We’ve come along way from the days Davy Fitz was sorting out Domhnall O’Donovan with a gig packing boxes to get him out of Kerry Group.

I noticed that also. They’re obviously keeping their powder dry. You’ll see a different Limerick come championship moving the sliotar through the lines.

You’d back Limerick in any game except cork is possibly 50:50 simply because of the pace cork have. Id still have Limerick as favourites to win it out just about over cork, injuries aside.
I don’t think you can blame injuries on S&C teams unless players are getting injuries during training drills. These things just happen. The S&C team need to keep players fresh, fit and strong enough. They simply can’t legislate for an ACL or hamstring or whatever in mid game. It’s not actually rocket science at all. Application of common sense and a bit of reading around the subject.

Not for want of trying in fairness.

We were poxed to avoid relegation. Only for somehow managing to get results against the top two teams in the country we’d be heading for 1b

In hindsight that win over a definitely BACK Tipp with the C team was some ambush
