Dowling the poor divil is a top notch forward
but has the physique best suited to hurling
in any era pre 2010.
The game really changed in the last few years
and you need to be fairly able

Lads, there isnāt anything wrong with Dowlings fitness. I can assure ye of that. He togs out big and isnāt the fastest. Thereās pretty much fuck all you can do if you havenāt the speed in your legs.
He works like a trojan in his role out the field for Na Piarsaigh but that is mostly winter hurling.
I hope he gets a chance to show what heās made of. He is a cracking youngfella and a fine hurler.
