Thatâs only 11 years amazing how scientific itâs got in such a short space of time take one of Lynchs points in the second half wins the ball on the right hand touch line plays it down the line and into space for Flanagan who wins possession Lynch keeps running after playing it and takes a nice hand pass from Flanagan and pops it over. That one piece sums up how good the coaching is and would not have happened in the Teege years.
ah we are light years on from where weâve been in the past few years. Donal OâGrady and John Allen to be fair had good plans and played similar styles to this one. Allen especially. They didnât have the same raw material that Kiely has at his disposal.
But even look at the amount of stuff clubs are doing, even the ones that are still just whacking it.
With the amount of resources a county like Limerick have, they need to be doing what theyâre doing as a minimum. But coaching the skills is still massively important, and a big reason for where we are.
Just reading back over todays discussion, itâs surely mad to believe that the sideline would have access to real time GPS information but wouldnât use it to inform substitution strategy??
One side claimed that the other side said that GPS made all the decisions.
The other side claimed that the other side had said GPS had nothing to do with substitutions.
In reality neither side had said what the other side claimed and they were both basically in agreement with each other that the truth was somewhere in the middle. Unfortunately the argument went on for about 200 posts and neither has yet realised whatâs happening
Itâs one thing having access to the raw info in real time. Actually making sense of it to see what it actually means, and the relevance to the game at hand is another matter.
