Iād be interested in any feedback you had on using that app also.
there isnāt much more to it than whatās in the video on that linkā¦
delivery of the information is obviously personal to the setup you are involved in. what do they want tracked, are they tracking towards targets. stats men only relay the requested information.
you need a lot of bodies to get everything and depending the level you are at it needs to be relayed in very simple terms to the players/management
De-Vine
Fair play for generating a few hundred posts about GPS data and timing of subs, lads. Youāre literally keeping the place alive.
Or to paraphrase an oft used generic Sunday Game statementā¦thereās savage work being done above in the Limerick GAA thread.
Barry Nash is a lazy fucker so thatās very doubtful
that phrase is only used to condescend to the weaker counties pal⦠Limerick threads are box office, always have been and will continue to be
Why do all media outlets run with the De-veen version? Itās as annoying as the mispronunciation of Lehane
whats the mispronunciation and the real one? spell it out phonetically there
like leahy
la-hee or lee-hee?
or walsh
tommy welsh⦠ffs sake itās walsh
Some halfwit on tg4 started it and it stuck.
When you say tracking targets, in your experience were they aiming for players to reach, say, a number of possessions per game or was it more nuanced than that? Was it simple totals for each metric at the end of the game they were after, or was there a bigger time-series aspect to it?
Weāve gone from whacking it long and playing Declan Hannon at 6 to GPS-based substitutions and playing Declan Hannon at 6 in a matter of months really. Itās incredible what John Kiely has done.
The only stat that matters is a win on Sunday puts us top of the Munster mini league.
no time series aspect. Simple metrics. shots from scoring zones. Tackles. number of fouls etc.
team totals also are recorded and tracked
Youād know well that LeeHee is what heād be in Cork
And youād know how Lehane is said in Cork as well,
Richie Bennis stats. we got 5 and dan the man got none.
We played high balls, low balls, cross balls⦠all sorts of balls Joanne.
I was above in Claughan one winter watching the Limerick hurlers in a challenge against Loughrea and one of the Limerick forwards kicked a shot at goal, I canāt remember who but Richie roars in at him⦠will you fucking stop, Mickey Ned will be looking for you.
He spent the whole game looking at his watch as if he couldnāt wait for the thing to be over. circa 2008.

Thatās only 11 years amazing how scientific itās got in such a short space of time take one of Lynchs points in the second half wins the ball on the right hand touch line plays it down the line and into space for Flanagan who wins possession Lynch keeps running after playing it and takes a nice hand pass from Flanagan and pops it over. That one piece sums up how good the coaching is and would not have happened in the Teege years.
Youāre some scamp.
ah we are light years on from where weāve been in the past few years. Donal OāGrady and John Allen to be fair had good plans and played similar styles to this one. Allen especially. They didnāt have the same raw material that Kiely has at his disposal.
