Been saying it for years
Itās actually impressive being that bad at it. Itās not like hurling where thereās huge skills gaps. If you are fit and coachd well you can surely compete at least
Exactly. How bad must you be if you cant fist a ball sideways, backwards and forwards.
Both Spain and Portugal got as many scores as us in a soccer match
Iāll always support the footballers - itās the sporting equivalent of pissing into a hurricane - but the time is approaching to go down the Kilkenny route.
same 15 starts
Condon makes the bench! no Peter Casey
Is there a concern over someone that Condon makes the bench?
Gillane in for pat Simon. @Watchyourtoes David Reidy survives again.
Condon was a sub the last day. Only change on the bench is Gillane for Pat Ryan.
Pat Ryan gone for Gillane.
Fair enough⦠I didnt think he was on the bench last week for some reason.
Fairly cut throat from kiely to get rid of pat Ryan.
I had a feeling that Pat Ryan might not make the cut this time after failing to get a run the last time.
How Reidy is still there is beyond me.
Odd, as heās seen game time. Reidy hasnāt got a look in, but heās big and rangy and suited to Clare. The workload on half forwards means that Kiely usually subs off two of them so thatās probably why Reidy is retained.
How close is Casey at all to returning?
I had this debate with @Watchyourtoes and he sent a few gifs in reply. Reidy is an out and out half forward. Heās brilliant feat, good in the air and well able to take a point. If hego or hayes went down early heād be straight on for one of them. Weāve barry Murphy, Gillane and nash covering the full forward line. So itās only David Dempsey and reidy covering the half forwards. Dempsey is probbaly a fullforward option too. So itās a 4/1 spilt which isnāt ideal.
Casey is fine. Scored 1-6 for the U21s in a challenge v Wexford last week.
Not easy get in the squad these daysā¦
Cut throat as I said. Heād bad wides v tipp, miss a goal chance v cork and didnāt do great v Waterford. Was very good in the league. Kiely loves nash.
