For a lad that is gone from the panel he seemed fairly involved in the warm ups above in Carlow last weekend.
This is a side show lads
You must have been in the oub early as I saw no sign of him . Downes and Condon pucking around , but nothing to do with warm ups.
He was in his tracksuit. Non stand side
Knocked a few balls back to nicky
Isnāt Downes injures?
I think the answer you are looking for is Robbie Hanley, he is a fucking animal.
Malachy is still on the panel you creep.
As an outsider looking in,amazing Alan Dempsey canāt make the Limerick squad.
Put up the full team someone
Yeah, itās strange. Subsequent managers have left him off too.
You mentioned Robbie Hanleyā¦ I was chewing the fat with a two rough Kilteely lads today in work and the team they reckon will win the All-Ireland for Limerick next year is as follows:
- Eoghan McNamara
- Sean Finn
- Mike Casey
- Richie English
- Kyle Hayes
- Declan Hannon
- Dan Morrissey
- Cian Lynch
- Robbie Hanley
- GearĆ³id Hegarty
- Tom Morrissey
- Barry Nash
- Aaron Gillane
- Seamus Flanagan
- Peter Casey
I didnāt agree with 2 selections (dropping DOāD and including Nash) but they were adamant it is going to happen.
But they are Kilteely lads.
Barry Nash has yet to do anything to show he deserves a senior start. He came on against Kilkenny last year and was shocking
Barry Nash has yet to show he is senior IC class
He has that bit of a cut about him though that if he got up to speed heād make a lovely forward
Iād go further and say he hasnāt shown the desire or application. For me he doesnāt work hard enough and I get the impression he doesnāt want to work any harder. When lads like Colin Ryan (manic workrate) canāt get into the team (which is fair enough) I donāt see the difference between Nash and Ronan Lynch for example. The comparison I make there is their lack of work rate. Bags of ability but thatās not enough.
Ronan Lynch is a far better stick man .
Yep thatās spot on. Nash has bags more of natural ability than Flanagan but the work rate is what makes the difference. Kiely seems to have his few favourites and nash is definitely one of those. Murphy should be ahead of him imo
Truth be told, on all evidence so far at Senior level, Barry Nash is very very lucky to be on the subs bench. I can see him fading from the inter county scene within a year. At Senior level heās certainly no half forward anyway, no. 14 or nowhere to be honest and heās a fair bit behind others for the inside line at the moment. Yes he has a spark and is a different type of forward than what we have but heās a luxury player. No room for those types in Kielys mind. Heās also in direct competition with Downes for a spot in the squad in my opinion, theyāre both similar in style with Nash being the neater hurler. If he doesnāt produce on his next few opportunities heāll be under pressure with likes of Downes and Barry Murphy hanging around
Spot on. Downes was very unlucky with the cruciate and all these 21s coming up together. Iāll never forget the performance downes gave against Clare at u21s. I thought we had a superstar on our hands
