They were fulsome in praise of your FB line on the sunday game
Iām flying out from Dublin on a little holiday at 6am Monday 30th
Would agree with that. Flanagan and Hegarty had clearly tired about 5 mins beforehand, were beginning to make mistakes.
Gillane was flagging as well around the 55-60 minute mark. He was out on his feet. The way we play puts huge load on the boys inside and all the half forwards.
Mul was still haring around the place winning ball out the field in the last few minutes.
i think Kiely was holding fire on the subs cos we were after getting one or two knocks in the backs. Hannon went down once or twice and I think Nickie looked in trouble at one stage after colliding with the goals.
I was in agreement at the time that subs should have been made earlier. KK had gotten on top, the ball was coming out too quick
Did anyone else notice Brownie was doing Maor Caman. He was pelting around the place up and down in front of the new stand. He wasnāt moving badly at all for a lad with a gammy knee. He actually only got a limp when he was walking.
Nicky was in trouble with contact lenses Iād say.
Just watching it back there, that Tom Morrissey score that put us ahead was unreal. He was miles out when he got the ball, surges forward about 40 yards. Injury time, heās shattered tired, game in the melting potā¦ I was on the tv side but the roar from the crowd on the far side as it hung in the air told you it was over. Wonderful.
Thatās what I thought as well
he hit that from right in front of where I was sitting. It was never going anywhere else. Such a clever run from Tom. He slowed up to allow the man get onto him, if anything he was going to be fouled or get a shot away. Huge leadership shown from Tom this year.
He was fine. He took time out to stop Kilkennys momentum. He has grown up hearing how Joe Quaid supposedly pucked the ball out too quick in 94. Nicky was been smart and took the air out of Kilkennys momentum
Thatās exactly what I said to the father at the time.
He was taking the sting out of it
His puckouts were excellent yesterday as well. Short ones were perfect almost.
He hit two monsters in the first half. One to Hayes and one to Hegarty that we got scores directly off
Stop with his puckouts were excellent. I understand we are all over the moon but reasoned analysis when it kicks on next week will indicate that this game was strewn with errors.
A joy to be at it but it tested the clogged up arteries
Indeed. Was that your auld fella beside you he was delighted with himself? And there was an auld fella two to your left who I saw with his head in his hands with the game tied going into injury time. He wasnāt able to bring himself to watch.
I felt they were poor and in the conditions he put us under unecessary pressure. Flanagan was making great runs and he didnāt pick him out once.
70k? I reckon itās a certainty to sell out, no?
In some teams the full-forward line do less running than other positions. We expect our lads to make sprints on practically every puckout, as well as from open play. Can be very draining especially if you arenāt getting the ball (and you canāt get every one).
Mul was operating deeper for long periods but Iād say he would have kept going no matter what. Whispers of Caseyās form in training, Mulcahy would be the like for like swap. Laid down a marker again though, was super.
Clare v limerick didnāt sell out in 2013 so I doubt this will either.
