One more thing about yesterday. The lack of consistency in how hurling is reffed is ridiculous. You couldnāt buy a free yesterday, while there were frees galore in the Clare game. Itās nearly a different sport depending on the ref.
itās important to know the ref and play accordingly. McGrath has always been lenient. The conditions were tough yesterday so you wouldnāt know a slip from a nudge.

Absolutely and Iād much prefer to watch a game reffed like that, but the choice of ref shouldnāt have such a huge impact on a game.

yeah that should be the case but refās arenāt robots. The game is too fast to be reffed by a single man. I think there should be a ref in each half like in the Aussie Rules. Poor cunts of refs must have better GPS stats than most of the players

there was another one where he gave the advantage to Mul but seemed to blow for a free as well. Mul tapped it in over the post, and McGrath went in. There was some confusion around as it took an age for the score to be posted on the board
That should have been a goal too. He went in and booked Murphy.
McGrath did very well all told, the obvious push on while KK were in for a goal chance was a blemish, let a couple of advantages go to keep the game moving
I met a Tipp man before the game and he said was cheering for the ref as he āhated both ye shower of cuntsā

I recall a Kilkenny player throwing a hurley at Kyle Hayes (I think) in the first half when after he caught a ball and went for a score. Ref seemed to ignore it

jesus Mul gave Murphy an awful run around. There was a moment near the end when Mul came out to the sideline around the 45 on the new stand side and Murphy was after him. The ball ended up going out over the line and Murphy looked absolutely fucked.
