Full hands, two of them. Up in the air. Iām a dope. Kiely isnāt. Delighted
When you shoot from the hip your always liable to end up with egg on your face at some point.
Graeme mul, hannon and brynes nominated for man of the match.
I thought Cian Lynch was reasonably quiet today until the last 10 minutes. I dunno what to make of Gillane either. Thought he was average enough.
Gillane? A few people are saying that. He won at least four frees which he scored. It was his championship debut and had the added pressure of the frees. I think your being harsh.
It seems that my assessment that mulcahy deserved to start, and my hope that Byrnes and Hannon would play to the standard theyāre capable of, as opposed to their poor league form, was spot on. Apparently they are the three nominations for man of the match. Hannon should get it.
Byrnes got it pal.
Iām merely pointing the lads people were doubting performed the best. Which is good Iād have thought.
Brynes got it alright.
Jesus, I thought Gillane was superb. He roasted his man.
Missed a few frees alright, which is unlike him but he scored 2 points from play and won at least 3 frees. Some debut.
Iām genuinely delighted heās turned it around.
Unfair to have a championship debutant have the added pressure of frees imo but can see why it was picked that way.
He always does the hard part just stop the shooting and heās a powerhouse for us back there,Dan Morrisey solid out so too Hannon.
The players really vindicated kielys selection. It would have been easy to bring on Dowling but kiely showed great faith and let brynes hit the long range frees and he rewarded his manager with three great scores.
It was a lot more than the shooting in the league for anyone that watched. But itās sorted. Gavin OāMahony was never great in the league but never let us down in summer. Byrnes and Hannon donāt have that much money in the bank yet, but they look to be made of the same stuff.
I am thinking you are a mile off there.
Gillane was superb.
That was Hannons best game since kk in 14
Very good first half
I didnāt think Hannon stood out that much. Both corner backs were very good as was Mike Casey when he went on and Byrnes near the end. Gillane destroyed his man all day and did some stupid things with it, but overall very good. Flanagan probably the poorest of the forwards but not terrible by any means
He went out of it for a spell but was excellent at the start and finish.
