As I am still in sunny Spain until Friday what is the word on the ground re the team? Unchanged with the Dow and P Casey to be unleashed with 20 to go?
It is going to be the same team that started vs Cork and last weekend.
Difficult to second guess kielys subs. Personally and itâs just a hunch Iâve a feeling weâll see Casey much earlier. I also suspect pat Ryan will be in ahead of the Dow v cork. Pace will be key.
Sounds like Barry Murphy and David Dempsey are well back in the pecking order. Pat Ryan would be an interesting one alright for the last 10mins or so if the game is up for grabs

It has come to the time of the week for game face. Avatar changed, we are going to beat Cork on Sunday, absolutely no doubts. Pay for the summer holidays time.

Thatâll be the duel of the game.
The same team from the last day starts. The full forward line are under no illusions - loyalty gets you the start, workrate and results keeps you employed. Peter Casey will make his appearance as early or late as the game decides - form, injury, yellow or red cards elsewhere.
Given this is potentially the last game they will look to maximise his input and that means you get 40 or 45 minutes out of Mulcahy. If one of the other pair arenât cutting it they will be benched accordingly.
The Dow will have a role to play, whether closing out or chasing, but may have to wait until late on. Gillane and Hegarty will gas around 55mins so youâre looking at Pat Ryanâs pace to stretch Cork with Morrissey taking over the frees. With Casey already on, enter The Dow in the half forward line.
The goal threat has to be cashed. Flanagan is key to this. Pull Mouth out of full back and make space for the others, and when winning clean ball on the wings turn and charge. They need to organise mayhem and then bank it.

Why all the Pat Ryan talk all of a sudden?
I wouldnât be surprised if we see Ryan very early too around the 50 minute mark and in before the Dow. His pace troubled cork greatly while the dow didnât see action although I think that was mainly due to us being down to 14. If any of the Inside are under performing theyâll be hooked fast for Casey. Ryan in at 50 to lift the tempo and wod hopefully around 60 mins. Possibly weâll see the Dow then.
Going to take a 19 or 20 man effort no doubt

Hill 16 and the Rebels are a good match; one named after a British army battle in Gallipolli, the other after supporting the wrong British monarch and both like to pretend otherwise.
