50 posts about two lads who canāt make the 26. Box office
To be honest Nash was a very good minor but a lot of that was down to size . He was good for u21 in 2015 but I have seen little to suggest he will be a real force at senior IC level . I saw him playing club a few time and he doesnāt stand out .
He has a awful awful lot to prove .
Barry Nash is finished.
Lay off the blue nun kid .
I wonder does the manager by any chance pick on what he sees in training.
Thankfully John keily the manager agrees with me.
Week beginning to drag a bit now.
How many about willie oāmeara?
The man that beat Croagh Kilfinny and Tour on his own
Iām surprised nobody has mentioned Sean Tobin heās the best club hurler in the county.
Weād want to be careful talking him up or Adare will be on for him
I just watched back the second half of the Kilkenny game, watched the first half the other night but fell asleep at half time. A great battling display full of grit. Loads of mistakes especially passes astray all over the field but the workrate never dropped. We were blessed with the amount of wides kk hit in the first three quarters. Gameplan requires the full back line to find passes with the ball, but cork will be targeting turnovers off them. Casey hit a couple that were intercepted and English and Finn were noticeably targeted on short puck outs at certain times. English on 45 mins or so and Finn on 60, kk stood off and allowed the short puck out then descended, both led to turnovers off byrnes but neither were his fault in fairness. WOD got on an amount of ball for just under 15 mins on the field. I donāt know how you can leave out Casey. Iād like to see the subs coming in a bit earlier, the guys taken off are faded out of the game before they come off, would make sense to bring subs in 5 mins earlier. Weāve a smashing half back line. Same as after every game this year, you have to comment on Tom Morrissey. Not a perfect game but tireless and his scores all came at crucial times which is even more important.
Didnāt they come looking for the Hayes boys years ago?
Watched it back myself yesterday. I thought Declan Hannon was superb in the 2nd half
Declan was excellent in the second half. Thereās a lot to improve on yet though. I think thereās a lot more in this team. And if they can up it again, weāll win on Sunday.
The Limerick post was gas today, must have got best wishes to the Limerick senior hurling team off every small business/pub/shop/blacksmith and counciller in the city and county.
Has he though? To me this year when he has come on he looks to have fear and is short on confidence. Heās been making runs and chasing backs but thereās something missing to before when he had more cut to him. He came on as a sub when weād the match won versus Waterford and in a no pressure situation he had a few minutes to impress but he slipped twice. Over eager now and unsure of himself IMO. Very foolish boy leaving the panel last year when he did as he was our no. 1 in form forward at that very time.
The lad is 22, he makes the 26 for every game this year more or less. Think its better to park that, mate.
He has a lot to offer Limerick hurling.
Iām giving my honest appraisal of the situation. A fella commented heās the only Limerick hurler with a swagger and i disagree. Peter Casey has the most swagger anyway.
Thereās a real swagger to Pete Casey. An arrogance.
