We’re all quick to knock the powers that be - me more than anyone - but we’re churning out decent, competitive, organised minor teams on a regular basis these past few years. Would have been a sweet one to win, alls not lost for the season yet anyway.
Thought we played very well in parts but made a few mistakes on the line. Cadell at centre back has the freedom of the pitch at times as we made a hero out of him. At some stages there was no green shirt within forty yards of him.
Just as grievously the decision to take off Dan Minehan (Ahane) with a few mins left was equally baffling. Thought he was one of our best players on the night. Got through a bag of work at midfield.
Some really positive displays overall. Couple of nice prospects in that team. Hopefully the year can be salvaged yet and they can earn a rematch in a Munster semi final.
Was chatting to a friend of mine from Adare (the one sound lad from there and non latte drinker) and he expressed, shall we say, surprise that their clubman was picked in goals tonight. Don’t want to be critical of young lads but he’ll be very disappointed with a couple of those goals conceded tonight.
Any idea when they are out again @Elvis_Brandenberg_Kr ? Know nothing about Cork or Waterford.
Filled the tank at a petrol station charging 1.31 a litre in Thurles. Cheapest I’ve seen anywhere in a while. Their lower living standards come in handy occasionally.
Cheers pal. If it’s Waterford I assume it’ll be the Gaelic Grounds as we beat them in Walsh Park last year while if it’s Cork I think it’ll be Pairc Ui Rinn as we beat them at home in the knock out semi final in 2015.
Winners of us v Waterford/Cork into the semi final so?
Yes at the end of June. I think you are right on the proposed locations. The U17 competition is also coming up where we play Cork next Tuesday in the Gaelic Grounds
