Limerick GAA. Don't be sad. Another 45 won't be so bad. Limited heartbreak

That year we got hammered by tipp was obviously not good but heā€™s been in thesenior panel a couple of seasons now so evidently kiely simply doesnā€™t rate him enough. Iā€™d say heā€™ll last two months with footballers.

Thereā€™s a lad on the panel for the first time and he must be touching 40

Collect 10 crisp packets and get on the Limerick senior football panel

Club form largely means nothing in the context of modern IC tbh . Na P will next play a meaningful club hurling game in late April and at that stage all the serious IC work in done so bar he produces Christy Ring like endeavors it wonā€™t happen .

I was hoping theyā€™d tempt Jim-Bob back in this time.

Good to see Michael Oā€™Donovan, Brian Oā€™Donovan & Tommy Childs at least, they are a level above some of the players we had last year. I hope Paul Whyte will be back from injury too.

Is Danny Neville still on the panel? That side does lack for scoring forwards.

Thatā€™s the St. Patrickā€™s coming out in him now.

Taking a year out I believe.
Paul Whyte wonā€™t be back this year either.

Fuck.

Disagree. Donā€™t see how it closes the door on being invited to the hurlers, which looks unlikely. A few players have joined the footballers in the past and gone on to make the hurling team in subsequent seasons, it makes a lot of sense to join the footballers and take advantage of the S&C for the year. Lynchā€™s form for club this year was excellent by the way, so his club form will hardly dictate his addition. Fitzgibbon form might press his case a bit like it did with Gillane.

Can anybody explain that interview with ronan lynch just before the senior panel was announced? It was in a few of the national newspapers. It canā€™t have impressed kiely much either.

Was it as gaeilge?

Nope.

Is it just Lynch and Eoin McNamara from the 2017 U21 final not on the senior panel atm? Did Daragh Fanning get called back in?

Iā€™ll tip along to Mick Neville on Sunday, all things going well theyā€™ll be short players and Iā€™ll make that long overdue intercounty debut as an emergency sub.

Fanning, Joy & Grimes arenā€™t in either.

What year is Lynch in? Is this his last year of Fitzgibbon?

Lynch has hardly kicked a football the last few years. Not sure how anyone could have seen enough of him to offer him a place with the senior team?

Hope Iā€™m wrong but it looks an even weaker team than last year, which wasnā€™t exactly a great side to begin with.

Not managements fault, but a lot of lads not committing, off the team named above youā€™ve no one from Ballylanders, Ballysteen, Caseys, Oola, St. Pats. One from Senans & Drom so basically half the senior clubs contributing fuck all. And not to be critical of the lads that have given the commitment, who are to be commended, but you could make a case a lot of them arenā€™t even the best players at their clubs.

Be another long year for the footballers unfortunately (with a short summer).

McCarthy & Lynch are the only ones off the starting team in the 2015 final not to be on it though.

It is interesting that much like Flanagan, ALTC, Lyons, Oā€™Loughlin, Oā€™Reilly and Oā€™Meara last year; the likes of Oā€™Brien and Connolly werenā€™t starting in last yearā€™s U-21 team, yet have made it on the senior panel ahead of fellas who were picked ahead of them.

Grimes will be on it soon.
