Both Group 2 sides put it up to the Group 1 sides if not quite strong enough to win. It should give some encouragement to Ahane going up next year that they could at least rattle Adare. They have a couple of minors that will be eligible next year too- Cian Casey anyway, I think Adam Murrihy has another year to go and Ronan Fox & Andy Rowsome will be a year older. Dan Minihan should be back too.
Adam Murrihy and Cian Casey are both eligible next year. Pádraig Hartnett is a lovely player too
Double header in LITGG next week. Really would prefer if they played them in somewhere like Bruff, get a big crowd in and a decent atmosphere.
Any times, dates and venues for the premier intermediate semi finals yet, @Aristotle ?
No times or venues yet but they’re on next Saturday. We’re expecting a double header in Kilmallock, presumably 2pm & 3.45pm or something along those lines.
Should be two cracking matches.
Both the premier intermediate and intermediate championships are really wide open.
Now the senior hurling championship can actually start.
Darragh O’Donovan was outstanding for Doon this afternoon, really stood up for his team when they were under pressure. Chipped in with points from play (3pts) long range frees (4pts) and a sublime sideline. Josh Ryan always a threat in full forward (4pts). Minor star Cormac Ryan crept up the field to hit the doon goal.
Another note… is Pat Ryan Simon just a summertime/Fenway hurler? Cant do it on a rainy day.
Young Jack Ryan also chipped in with 3 points . Simon was very poor . Josh Ryan carried the threat up front for Doon.
I thought he was injured?
He was excellent in the county semi-final and final last year. Was he playing centre-forward though? I think he’s much better at full-forward.
Who’s Kildimo playing next week?
He was in full. Luke Doran will be happy to see the back of him. Some man to flick a ball over a defenders head and run on to it.
The 'Well and Doon should be tasty next Sunday. Surely abit of niggle left from there group game earlier this year.
Bruff.
Will they win?
That’s the plan anyway.
