Limerick GAA - it's Box Office - Always Has Been, Always Will Be

When a goal change like that arises you bury it every fucking time.

Leo was sayiing on the radio that if Cian was fit he would have rounded the defender and stuck the goal himself.

Maybe but given the conditions on the day I would have taken the point.
If they had been beaten by a point there would have been 20 other ways. At least 3 sideline balls fucked wide instead of keeping them in play. A shit load of balls fucked wide from way out in the first half. No take the point all day on a wet windy day where scores are at a premium.

The injury may have been a factor. Maybe he didn’t trust Gillane to bury it.

It was two forwards against one defender in and ocean of space, would have expected Lynch of all players to draw the tackle and leave the pass off.

Here comes a sentence that I don’t say too often…Leo is right.

Refrain from talking shyte now please folks. They have won an A I so try and be happy about it.

Lynch went for the point . He was correct because Lk won .

We had a gale force breeze at our back in the first half, needed to tack on the points and build a comfortable lead. For all our dominance we were only five points up at that stage I think and needed to keep the scoreboard ticking over. Said at the time it was the right thing to do. Wouldn’t be overly critical of him at all there.

Robbie Hanley messed up a handy point chance before or after that when he laid off a poor pass in search of a goal when a handy point was on.

It’s only nit picking anyway.

It was seven minutes since the last score when he took that point. Settled them down again.

That was as straightforward a two on one goal chance as you get in hurling. No pressure on the ball carrier, defender not really doing anything to make it difficult, plenty of space beyond defender to the free attacker and a huge margin of error for an already very simple pass. It was an obscene decision to turn down the goal.

Would you ever fuck off back to Wexford for yourself. Its 11 pm and I have a report to be ready for the morning, I don’t mind infighting with my fellow Limerick brethern to keep me up till 3AM but you can fuck right off…Good night honey

You know the Commentators Eye is correct.

Ger must be pissed that he wasn’t on the telly the night of the hurling final and wants to stick the boot into Brennan who is going to replace him on the Sunday Game

Ah we didn’t want to bate em too bad

Usually I would agree but it is taking a piece of the game and navel gazing at it out of context of the game itself. @iron_mike and @dodgy_keeper have hit the nail on the head above. We had hit a lull in our scoring and badly needed a score. If we had just tacked over a few points and in full flow then go for it and kill them off but we were not at that point in the game.

Just like 2 years ago. We didn’t want the opposition to feel humiliated so we only went for points.
