They wonât beat NCW
Will be interested to see how they price it up.
Saw NCW last week and also against Oola in the group stage. Not that impressive on either occasion in all honesty. Quieten Jamie Lee is half the battle.

NCW 1/2
Adare 6/4
Odds from Paddypower
Them odds are to win the county so youâre covered if theres a replay etc
U21 team of the year announced tonight. Few surprising omissions that I thought would have made it. Gillane player of the year.
Eoghan McNamara the most glaring omission. Sean Finn lucky enough.
Without a doubt. I thought Grimes had a great year and was unlucky also
Liam OâSullivan and John Cregan already declared runners for the role of Chairman. Still another two weeks to declare.
Cregan will get the FF vote & youâd imagine most of the Limerick football vote.
Whoâd be the favourite and whoâd be the the best man for the job??
From the little I know of them, neither are actually too bad as far as County Board types go. Cregan may be a Fianna Failer but is a genuine football man and thereâs plenty worse than OâSullivan too.
Show me a genuine football man and Iâll show you a bollix.
He is only a football man cause he couldnât hurl spuds to ducks.
Some big games in the lower grades this weekend.
Intermediate Football Final
St. Senanâs vs Galbally.
Probably identified as the two favourites at the outset. Senanâs won in the group, but Galbally coming into form. Senanâs unbeaten but have been in this position before and failed to go up. I think Galbally might beat them.
Intermediate Hurling Semi-Finals
Glenroe vs Granagh/Ballingarry
Kildimo/Pallaskenry vs Dromin/Athlacca
Again, at the start of the year, these would have been the 4 teams expected to make the semis. Dromin/Athlacca steamrolled everyone in their group, but did they get a real test? Kildimo/Pallas havenât set the world alight but have been there or thereabouts for a couple of years and still unbeaten. Glenroe unbeaten also, and beat G/B handy enough the first day but they looked re-energised in the quarter-final. Two very hard games to call, howâs the feeling in the G/B camp @dodgy_keeper?
Junior Hurling Semi-Finals
Kilmallock vs Rathkeale
Feenagh/Kilmeedy vs St. Patâs
Kilmallock very impressive thus far, have some big players still playing junior. Rathkeale a bit of a surprise package, Ger Hegarty has them flying. Theyâll cause Kilmallock problems but donât know if they will win, Kilmallock look much stronger this year. Would have fancied Pats in the other, but can be hard to know whether theyâll have full commitment with soccer⌠Feenagh have pulled together, got a few big results and itâll be another close one, I reckon.
Minor Hurling Final
Mungret vs Garryspillane
Nice to have a bit of a change in the minor final. The two best teams in the county for sure. Mungret had very strong representation on the Limerick minor panel this year, most notably Paul OâBrien and this side has been very strong all up along. The Bouncers had a brilliant 16s side last year, really talented and also have that Sheehan fella on the age who has scored something like 9 Championship goals for their Premier Intermediate side. Again, should be a good game, I fancy Garryspillane.
Quietly confident, pal. Nothing to lose.
Sadly a friend of mine has very selfishly decided to get married up the country this Saturday so I will miss the game in Kilmallock. Killer buzz.
What day are the rest of these matches on?
Intermediate football final is Friday night, I think, in Mick Neville Park. Might pop down to it rather than watching the Moldova game on the box.
Senans are going to be the Mayo of Limerick intermediate football if they fuck up another one.
All the others on Saturday except Feenagh/Kilmeedy vs Patâs which is on Sunday.
Itâs been a long time since none of Na Piarsaigh, Kilmallock, Doon have been in a minor final. Donât know the last time it happened.
Wouldnât have minded seeing that minor final. Itâd be a big boost for Mungret if they won it, the Bouncers seem to be going very well at underage level for the last couple of years. The school in Hospital doing well at GAA must be a benefit to them.
