Going to head to the minor final on Saturday. Great to see two new teams in Mungret & Garryspillane contesting it.
Iâve heard of Garryspillane in fairness thanks to Donie, I thought the other place was just somewhere to take your rubbish??
Senans will win alright.
Make sure to provide a full match report. The more reactionary posters can then use that as their basis for proposing to drop the entire senior panel and starting fresh with the new crop of minors and giving them three years to settle in.
8:15 on a Friday night in Mick Neville, what a fixture for a final
It opens up the weekend for a serious session though
What I thought as well, perfect time really
A 7.30 throw in would be a bit better, but they must want it completely dark for the lights before it starts.

It will be 11pm tomorrow night when the Galballians get home to the hills. More of an all night session were they to win.
Be beautiful timing for a bonfire on the cross. Havenât seen Galbally in a while are they any use? Senans are playing Ian Ryan at centre back all year
Senior hurling final on Sunday week exclusively live on TG4 at 4pm.
Box office.
Senans have been using hayes, mullane and the 5k man in the ff line. They play direct ball and those boys take some stopping at inter level.
A team playing as a swarm such as adare last year would trouble them. However galbally play a straight 15 with the hf line as workers rather than scorers and will be caught with quick ball.
We played em a couple of times this year in a friendly and league. They improved a lot as the year went on in fairness to them. Move it quick and theyâve a few nice forwards to pick off scores. A bit lacking in physicality would be my fear for them and if Galbally can drag em into a fight theyâll struggle. Also must be a niggle in their minds about big games at this stage.
They lack proper midfielders and that does make them suspect. A few teams have troubled them on this, Pa Begley caused wreck. They are good enough elsewhere.
Expand???
Grand for beering for the weekend, but Mick Neville at time of night in October is fair bleak. Plus you have shit viewing facilities.
Arenât/werenât they meant to be putting in a stand there? Badly needed.
The whole set up there seems a mess. They could have had a cracking set up in there from day one if it was done correctly and professionally.

Yerra they can stay in their cars with the heaters on and use the headlights for the lads on the pitch.
I heard theyâre putting a stand where the car park is now.

Theyâve been putting that there for the years and not a brick laid
From 2010
Facilities came in for mention. Secretary Mike OâRiordan bemoaned the fact that enough use isnât being made at either provincial or national level of the Gaelic Grounds. From the local perspective, however, their own development of the superb facilities in Mick Neville Park, Rathkeale, for the full use of all county teams, continues apace.
âA new 3G Synthetic Pitch was laid, combined with a full floodlit capability,â reported Mike; âThe additional lands that were purchased last year were developed into full-size sand-carpet pitch and are also fully floodlit. The stand and ancillary facilities are due for completion in mid-2011, and the existing sand-based pitch and club-side pitch are in full use at the moment.â The good news doesnât end there either.
Mick Neville Park to undergo redevelopment
23 January 2015
Rathkealeâs Mick Neville Park is set to undergo a major redevelopment after Munster Council granted Limerick GAA âŹ500,000 funding for the project.
The pitch, which has been used for many county games as well as county finals over the yearsâ will undergo a major transformation to bring it up to county standard once again.
Over the last few years, there has been some work done on the grounds and it is reported that âŹ1 million more is needed to complete it.
