Garryspillane dropping the blade now alright

Bouncers doing their best to get a red.

Could be 2 or 3

Lowering the blade, mate.

Lowering implies gradual. Bit late for it now in any case

Murroe win. Only 1 red each in the end. Murroe by far the better team - Pat & Seanie, and Dylan Sheehan class.

I think heā€™s class, heā€™s definitely one of the top forwards in Limerick. If I recall correctly, it was his own choice to leave the panel last year.

He was always a good man for a score but a few things worked against him for Limerick. Firstly, I donā€™t think corner-forward is his best position. Heā€™s quick, but not a pure pace merchant, and heā€™s quite light. When we had himself and Mulcahy in the corners and were lashing high ball into the full-forward line, he never had much of a chance.

His best position is probably in the half-forward line, ideally as a playmaking centre-forward type. Drop deep off his man, pick off scores. But we have other players better in that role too- Cian Lynch for example. And then on the wings, again, heā€™s decent in the air but probably too small for that role at intercounty level and he doesnā€™t have the power to take on his man at that level either. Like tonight, he was taking on men, bursting past them but I donā€™t know if he could do that at the highest level.

Heā€™s an excellent free-taker and is a natural scoretaker, a very skilful player too. Iā€™d have him involved but he wouldnā€™t be in my 6 starting forwards and maybe he doesnā€™t want to give the long hours anymore; itā€™s a lot of commitment to give for a player who probably would have to battle very very hard to even get a place in the matchday panel.

I am a big fan though, he was class tonight.

Seanie Tobin has been the most consistent club hurler in Limerick for years. Along with the phenomenon that is Donie Ryan. Two serious score getters at club level even when both played at Senior grade

Agreed but that entitles him to a chance at IC level . Over his last few years on the panel he didnā€™t set the heather ablaze truth told . That said he is worth his place on the panel . Interesting to see if JK will look beyond the u21s .

Tobins best position is 11 or 14 and he just doesnā€™t have the physical attributes to play there at IC level. Some club player though

A sound skin too.

The county is full of ā€œsound skinsā€ . Not relevant to the issue .

And miserable cunts evidently.

Fuck yes and me too .

Nice handy game in Ennis if a result is needed after playing the tough games.

Away trips to Cork and Ennis. :pint:

Cusack Park will be rammed if thereā€™s anything to play for
