You couldnât have scripted a better schedule than that. The two strongest sides we meet at home, Tipp on day one where they are most vulnerable, and Clare (the weakest side in the province) on the last day if we need a result.
RTE are going to make some bollocks of it on the last day if it comes down to scoring difference as to who progresses. They wonât have a notion.

Weâll beat Tipp in the Gaelic Grounds in a blaze of glory, Tipp will think theyâre the shit after winning the league but weâll bring them back down to Earth with a bang. Pure aggression, work rate, in your faces hurling and they wonât be able to live with the tempo.
Cork will have drawn with the Clare in the first game, but will suffer a bit of a trimming in the second game at the hands of Tipp who bounce back and show that they mean business. Cork are then a bit low on confidence, and we get our second win.
Waterford pip us in the Gaelic Grounds in the third game, before we go down to Cusack Park and bate Clare in a classic.
Tipp wonât be âvulnerableâ on day 1 . They will have a league campaign in D1 and will be anxious to atone for a bad year .
