Heās a nice hurler, but considering he didnāt even get on the bench for the 21s last year, it could be considered a slight surprise.
I suppose he did miss the first half of the year recovering from the cruciate so probably fell down the pecking order. They obviously think highly of him anyways.
He is absolutely top notch. A real horse of a young lad with good pace and hurling. He will be our full back in two years time I have no doubt.

OāMeara is a good prospect, regards full back in two years time, thatās Richie Englishs position in my opinion.
I think he lacks the real physique for it, I really like him but I just think a big man could bully him fairly handy enough.
Before that hand injury he was flying mate, he has the head for it, v tight man marker and knows when to give away a free rather than a goal.

OāMeara is only 19, another 2 years U-21.
I know he played there in that minor match against Clare, but Iām still not convinced that full-back is his best position. It can be a tough position to fill and he probably does have the attributes to grow into that role, but I would have said half-forward was his best position.
