I saw him going off and had assumed it was a knock as he was going alright. Last we’d heard Hayes was never going to handle a Hurley ever again so good to see him back and improving
I do agree…Galway completly gassed in the second half and havent half the work that Limerick have done.
But from our perspective its a huge result…1B for the guts of a decade has halted our progress in the summer bigtime. I think @glasagusban mentioned our puckouts…thats been one of Limerick hurlings achilles heel for years but there is improvement there now.
Wides were brutal, 12 in the first half is not good enough…we’re far from the finished article but to beat the AI champions in their backyard to achieve promotion to 1A is a fantastic result for this group of players and Limerick hurling in general.

Galway will miss Burke for the rest of the year when the CCCC hit him with a 6 month suspension.

Really good to see Lk defenders swarming GY forwards in possession throughout final 15 mins.
In saying that, the GY forwards all had the touch of a rapist in that time giving LK defenders the extra time to apply the pressure.
Micheal O’Donoughue will be secretly delighted with that result, he can hop off his crowd and bate them with this “stick”.
I’d still fancy GY as a good bet to retain their League Crown.

Magic second half was some buzz around the place last 15 mins when it was Balboa V Creed stuff in the trenches but our hunger drove us on along with Richie Macs hop and skip clearances, following the Limerick hurlers is some journey of up and downs but today we can stand poudly behind a young and talented side.In the Galway bay now relaxing with the lost boys @anon26343222, @chops91 and @dodgykeeper.
