Limerick GAA - it's Box Office - Always Has Been, Always Will Be

They have an Indian sign ok . The defeat to Dublin did SKC no harm .

Something similar happened with them at least once like that before where they lost a Leinster final maybe to Kilkenny CBS and came back to win the Croke cup.

Yes .

Pa Begley named at full-forward for the Limerick footballers.

Whatā€™s this now? I have not seen a team

Was on the Leader website.

Anyone know anything bout this Antrim team?

Iā€™d say it could be a record low attendance for an official, competitive senior intercounty match.

Ah you might get a couple of hundred, but that will about it. Iā€™m going in anyway but backing Antrim I think, tis a pretty poor Limerick team.

At least we have a PRO that can take a picture

Hugh is one useless fucker. Fare play to Eamon Phelan though heā€™s tweeting away on his personal account. I think thereā€™s some sort of committee after being setup to alleviate Hugh of some of his duties. Liam Aherne is on it afaik.

I donā€™t know much about the fella, how the fuck did he get elected? Why does he even want to be the PRO?

Antrim win 1-13 to 12 points

Antrim probably deserved it. Linerick had two clear goal chances, one saved and other hit bar.
Antrim had one chance and got it.

Ah Antrim were a good bit better once they pushed up on Limerick kick outs. Much more pace to their game in the second half and Limerick had no answer. I honestly believe thereā€™s some of the Limerick lads who would struggle to get on some of the better senior club teams.

There is no depth. Without fanning, white and oā€™Carroll today they were short. Forwards actually did reasonably ok except for no system against the antrim kickout.

Was Jamie Lee injured when he was taken off? Kicked 3 great points in the first half. Begley is fairly faceless

League semi final in Thurles next Saturday. Lovely. Would prefer to play them away, no pressure on us with a team of kids out.

When was the last time we played them in a knock out league match?

Cracking weekend of local sport next weekend. Big Munster Derby against Waterford on Friday night at Fortress Markets Field and then into the lions den the next day. Two games to capture the imagination of the public.

And the possibly rearranged football match with Wicklow too of course.
