Limerick GAA - it's Box Office - Always Has Been, Always Will Be

Calm down Bridie

Im not mad. I just think we left it behind us. Thats all

Try being beat in a free taking competition

Say that so and leave the dramatics out of it. Not every match has to be an epic experience.

Disappointed, one that got away but more positives than negatives for this game and over the league generally.

So many small little things went against us - all of our own making. Dropping three short into the keeper in the first 15 mins, Byrnes wasting a rake of ball after doing brilliantly to win it in the first place, Hegarty making a mess of a sideline and Tipp getting a point, Browne getting blocked down at the start of extra time and Tipp going up to field straight away for a score, missing a free at the end of the first half of extra time, Nash blazing a chance wide, the two goals - uggghhhhh. So frustrating.

Mind you we learned more tonight than about the last eight years in 1B. We’ve been at such a low ebb since August 2014 but it’s definitely an upward trajectory.

  • we’ve to make a call at number 3.
  • Byrnes has to be instructed on a maximum of two pot shots a game.
  • we need a midfield partner for Lynch.
  • Finn is a gem.
  • they were gone at the end of normal time and never gave up. They were gone in extra time but never gave up. Positive signs that morale and spirit won’t be an issue under this management and group of players.

Roll on the summer.

You talk sense.

Very dangerous thing to be doing on this thread

You can be assured of it. Limerick played some lovely heads up hurling, great delivery. Wait until Casey and Dempsey are in that forward line. I think Limerick are going to be a very dangerous team for a while to come. The two Casey’s come in and Limerick are a far better side.

Agree. . The work rate is very good. The attitude is top notch and the talent us there.

Just home from that place and although disappointed, we are also delighted. A few things though.

  1. Quaid is not a goalkeeper.
  2. Hickey shouldn’t be on the panel.
  3. John Keenan has Tipp blood coursing through his veins, at least one should have seen a red card.
  4. Tipp are dirty filthy cunts.

This was a brilliant display but Limerick should have won and could have if they were not as wasteful. Their heart, determination and drive was a joy to watch and this team will bring Liam McCarthy to OConnell St. in the very near future. They aill, deservedly, be afraid of no-one and any team they come up against better play their ‘A’ game or they will be beaten.

Well done John Kiely and well done to the entire panel.

What hapoened for the Tipp first goal. I was chatting to the fella behind me, I turned around and saw the nett rattling.

Clare should have beat ye 2 weeks ago pal

Possibly Joe but they didn’t. Limerick should have won tonight but they didn’t

Ah now Bart. Point 4. is just you being a sore loser. Did you not see what Mammy Hickey was at from the throw in?
Also I think we adjusted better to the limerick rugby tackles as the game went on and tipp realised they’d get zero protection from the ref.
We gave it back to ye and ye weren’t able for the big boy stuff.

Only league long summer ahead for Clare and Limerick chin up buddy

Quaid hit a lovely pass straight into Forde’s hand and he buried it
