Let us bate Clare in the 21s first.
21s have little chance next week. All senior players on the 21 panels are with the 21s for this week. Less than two full weeks to tipp then. Gillane came through ok for pwell. Casey a doubt for the whole of the munster championship.
Two yellows , Knockaderry had a lad sent off just after half time , both sending off’s were silly really.
The Clare team are every bit as poorly prepared as they were last year and have lost three or four starters like Shanagher, Martin Daly, Cathal Noonan to cruciate injuries.
Cian Minogue wasn’t even offered trials over the winter and only joined the panel this month yet is expected to start wing back. A complete jokshop of a set up. There is zero optimism in the county of a Clare performance, let alone a win.
Interesting I’d imagine there is more talent in the Limerick squad but preparation has been terrible.
Dowling for centre back.
I’m fairly confident that we’ll beat the Clare 21s comfortably enough.
I’d say he’s a bit older. 21-22. Always good but never a star. Great to hear he’s going well.
Playing Dublin up above tomorrow evening i’m told.
Yep no 21 players involved.
Do you have a throw-in time for that Test Match tomorrow, son?
No idea pal il update here if I hear a result, injuries at this stage is the main concern now.
I’m all for club games being played but we overdid it in April. Two rounds of football and two rounds of hurling was too much to squeeze in.
In terms of the hurling preparation - three weeks from the last matches played in the weekend just gone. One week of that gone without the u-21 players this week, that only really leaves next week as you’re not going to do much heavy stuff the week of the Tipp game.
Too short a preparation I think. An extra week wouldn’t have gone amiss.
They should’ve pushed the 21’s quarter final back until June. Ridiclous playing it on the 7th May on a bank holiday weekend.
Especially with Tipp on the 20th. No harm playing that off an a Wednesday night in mid june.
Relax kid, they’re well prepared.
3 weeks is fine.
Ah cmon Dodgy, if you had your way there’d be no club, no 21s, no Fitzgibbon, and it’d be a 9 month pre-season for the intercounty team. I’d say the club games were a gift to develop some form to the few lads that missed the league through injury or didn’t get much gametime.
Ha, fair point Glas.
I’m just on edge with a crack at those cunts looming in twenty days time.
Tickets are onsale btw!
The club games were a good break . To be honest a break away from the set up is no harm as Lk have been going since November .
I still say that the club all Ireland should be done in early December .
No need to be nervous buddy. It’s only a game.
Ps. We’ll put ye back 10 years with the trimming we’ll give ye.
