Where is Jerome Boylan?
Would Paul O Brien and David Woulfe be far off the 21 panel?
You would be playing OāBrien for his frees, he does not have the physical attributes for me. I would have Woulfe on the bench. If OāMeara is injured fair enough, if not he should be one of the first names on that team. Put him at 3, he is a future starter in the full back line for the seniors for me anyway.
Would there be any chance u21 management might be making a bit of a stance about access to the fringe senior players?
No. Iād say its an anti-West Limerick bias.
Also if the lads kicks football he is doubly fucked
All these fellas are doing the Leaving Cert afaik; I wonder is that it?
Boylan is the only one of those 3 who was actually named on the panel, but maybe the management decided not to play any Leaving Certs until after. Neither Boylan lined out for Na Piarsaigh last weekend (although obviously Conor is starting for the 21s).
As for OāBrien, I do think he offers more than just frees. Heās very small & light but heās very quick and very accurate. Movement good and has that little swivel to open up space for himself.
I like Woulfe too, but donāt think heās played at all for Kilmallock so far this year which is strange (but again, could be to do with the Leaving Cert).
The attitude of the last two under 21 winning managers was they were preparing these players for senior level, it is the goal for Limerick hurling.
Cyril just said we never feared Tipp on The Sunday Game championship preview.
Itās officially summer now.
Had a cut at the 21s -5 at Evens, over 24.5 Limerick points at 5/6 could be a solid alternative, plenty of support and confidence coming from the GAA backers around here.
What time is it on?
5:45
From what Iāve heard i wouldnāt be expecting too much from limerick. Theyve barely trained together. Casey, O meara, o Grady and Eoghan mc should all be starting. Thatās four big players to be down. Itās a case of get over these and we could win a munster. I hear we will be playing with a sweeper too. Iām no expert on Clare but I think they look weak. Iāve had a good cut off Clare under 19.5 points at 10/11. 20 points is a lot in sixty minutes of hurling for any team.
Iām staying at home in protest
Iād guess heāll be in as a late sub.
I would not fancy ya against either Cork or Tipperarynof we got through this game.
The Clare team with all players and a semi competent management would be a decent enough team.
Only 5 of the team that played three years ago at minor against tipp are starting. Shanagher, Martin Daly and Cathal Noonan out with cruciate injuries. That is the full forward, centre forward and starting full back. Keith White, last years minor captain also injured. The managers son who canāt get a start at club level is starting at corner forward.
There are some nice hurlers on the team but no expectations due to injuries and management
I think weāll improve. Casey is probably the best under 21 in the country. Likewise McNamara is the best goalie at this level. Thatās two of our three best players missing. I think any side will find it tough to go down to Ennis and win without two of their three best players. Theyāll make a massive difference when their back.
Conor Boylan is very impressive. Limerick churning out tall rangey half forwards.
Clare have some 12 year old in goals here.
We have them bate here. Walking all over the cunts
