Limerick GAA - it's Box Office - Always Has Been, Always Will Be

Tickets for both terraces available on Tickets.ie last time I looked

Over 10K tickets already sold so they will surely scrape past the 20K on the day.

Anyone know what way Centra or SuperValu distribute their tickets? Get rid of the shit tickets first or do they start on the halfway line and work their way through from best seats to the worst?

I have two visitors from up north coming down to visit for the Tipp game. They always wanted to go to a Munster championship match so that weekend suited.

Picked up two tickets for them in SuperValu yesterday. Row D in the open stand and not central either. Bit annoyed but not much I could do, the lady behind the counter just printed off the tickets and handed them to me. (Not saying it’s her fault either).

When buying off Centra or SuperValu is it more or less luck of the draw with where the tickets will be? I.e could be slap bang on the half way line or down by the corner flag?

They run in an order anyway. I’m pretty sure if you buy them online you can see your seats.

Yeah I should have bought them online. Pure chance as to the quality of tickets you’ll get buying from the shops so.

25 k v tipp ( tops)
30k v cork ( 15 k if both lose 1st games )

Waterford (depends on results)

Clare (see Waterford)

Open stand will hardly sell out. You could just move to different seats on the day

Problem with that is you could end up going from seat to seat if someone has a ticket for that seat…

I tried getting 2 for the Open stand there and It gave me Block 117. Row B so I assume that’s very low down

Log in and out a few times and you’ll get there eventually

Stand at the back is best .

Are they numbered seating even for open stand for the Limerick v Tipp match?

Yes

If the expected team starts against Tipp; there will be at least 5, and possibly 6 personnel changes from the team that lost to Kilkenny last summer- Diarmuid Byrnes missed that game through injury; I’d expect Richie English, Tom Morrissey, Seamus Flanagan and Aaron Gillane to start too.

It was a very young team last summer too, and while we fought hard & showed flashes of promise; our use of the ball was very poor against both Clare and Kilkenny. But I think most of us felt that the players were right, it was just about fine-tuning the system. It looks like we have certainly improved in that area but whether it will be enough, we’ll see.

Still, you could say that changing a third of the team is slightly surprising but of the players dropping out, most are very young and are still more than viable bench options- we definitely have more on the bench this year. And that could be a big difference.

I was thinking about that recently and that if the team is to line out as predicted the turnover in personnel is huge. Injury accounts for two of the changes in that Byrnes would have started last year and Casey will start when he’s back. I’d have thought McCarthy and Dowling were two of the best performers on the limerick team that day, currently looks like neither will start. Major mistakes in my opinion, I don’t think the mooted replacements strengthen the positions or the team.

The two games Lk played last year were both awful . Clare beat us handy pulling up and events later showed they were no world beaters . The Kk game was poor and they were not good last year .

You should have a watch back of that game. I’d say the first twenty minutes were dowlings worst in a limerick jersey. He’d a much better second half tbf. The one with mccarthy is strange. I thought he done ok at 3 versus Galway and deserved another chance. The expected fifteen are extremely fit that may have counted against dowling and McCarthy. Mike Casey suffered massively due to naps season. In the long run I think English will be three. Casey was brilliant in the corner v kk.

Brynes was a huge loss that night.

Yeah we badly needed 3/4 long range wides to lift the crowd.
It would of gotten us over the line.
