Shane Dowling going on operation transformation?
I canât believe what Iâm after hearing.
Again on a lighter note, I watched the 21s game back and we were definitely well-deserving winners. The work rate of every single player was superb, and as supporters, thatâs all you can ask for. I just want to see players get stuck in and give it their all. We know these lads have talent and that will follow if the work is there.
Casey scored a ridiculous point from the sideline off the hurl, then missed 3 handy ones. On another day, heâd have had 1-5 inside 20 minutes. Lads like Lynch and Nash, who have sometimes been criticised for not working hard, worked their socks off. Morrissey didnât have his best outing but he made some amount of tackles, neither did Malachy. The referee was poor, but that probably helped us as we were physically fitter & stronger; and were putting in big hits. Not that they were all frees or anything but there were a few borderline ones from both teams and I think our lads adapted better to the ref.
And when we stepped it up, we were very impressive. Outscored them 8 to 2 after Whelanâs goal; clawed it back almost instantly and just blew them away in every way from then on. Galway took them on, brought the fight but they well and truly answered it.
Impressed with management too. Was a little bit wary after some of the decisions at minor level but the subs were good. Brought off big names like Morrissey, Malachy, Finn. Finn fucked up badly for Whelanâs goal, and he was hauled ashore for OâGrady who is a tight-marking corner-back. I thought Finn was quite good otherwise. Obviously ALTC has been mentioned previously, he was excellent. Boylan too.
And Cian Lynch⌠he is one of those players that maybe you donât appreciate everything he does in the flesh. Does a lot of work that might go unnoticed and is invaluable when there are rucks, of which there were plenty. He was very impressive again.
I think weâll win the All-Ireland now, this is a good team.
Two points ;
1; the ref was excellent .
2 ; Oh ya . No Limerick man says "hurl " leave that to Leinster

4 from Effin between the 2 panels, 1 from Rathkeale. Good Bruff contingent.
I was going to say is there an Effin selector or what
Grand squads. I see sons of a an ex-housemate, former work colleagues, old teammates and opponents and a cousin on management. They will be fine
I was going to say is there an Effin selector or what
No he is from Kilmallock. Preparing the groundwork for transferring the Effin and Staker Wallace lads
Oooofft
Nobody from kilmallock on either squad, is there a slowdown in the pipeline there. No Na Piarsigh, kilmallock, Doon, Adare or Ahane player on the A squadâŚdoes it show weakness or are other clubs producing talentâŚ
Sign of a good healthy underage spread of talent.
