Limerick GAA - it's Box Office - Always Has Been, Always Will Be

This year only tho? but it’s a very evening out age as smaller lads begin to fill out etc — And I don’t think our S&C is all that at senior level - certainly not when you see Waterford/Galway younger players etc.

Fair to say that a few of them haven’t reached the heights that would have been expected by now. Although also fair to say the expectation levels might have been unreasonable.

In fairness they dug in and grinded out the result against Cork and Galway.Kilkenny will be the acid test have they improved in the three years since they lost that minor final,it would be a big mental boost to get that off their back moving forward into senior in the next few years if they can do it.

I wouldn’t be so sure .

3/4 from that team will only go senior or have a sustained career at senior…

Half of those will do their cruciates and the other half will have a mental breakdown within the year.

Eh there’s more than that have played senior already mate. Casey, Lynch, Hayes and Finn were all starters this year, not to mention the lads on the bench (Lynch, Morrissey, Nash). Nasher would have been starting if he wasn’t such a messer. Colin “Malachy” Ryan will make the step up as will, McNamara, Gillane and possibly one or two others. Whether they have sustained careers is a different matter but a lot more than 3/4 will go senior, because a lot more than 3/4 have already gone senior.

Oooft

So you agree with me? Thanks.

I’m glad we are all in agreement - 3/4 of those lads will have senior careers.

Malachy has been average enough this year - showed flashes in Munster u21 but very disappointing against Galway. Ronan Lynch has been poor also - and Morrissey and Gillane have been average enough… Tho Gillane was good against Cork/Clare but I wouldnt read too much into those games.

Hayes has been the player of the year at senior/u21 and i’ve no doubt Peter Casey will make it, he’s a lovely bit of stuff… If Cian Lynch can step it up at senior level and Richie English re-find his form, Limerick would be in a good place heading into next year -

Paulies family in Cork is steeped in the GAA

Noted but No relevance to the issue at hand .

What the fuck has that to do with anything?

Sorry mate, I haven’t kept up since the lads were all fagging out yesterday looking for a bit of tittilation, thought it was a slight on his da playing rugger

God no . More a dig at Limerick GAA

Much of this down to the clubs themselves. Not just in Limerick across the country
