Bit of a shock in the Intermediate- NaP2 beat Glenroe by a goal. Their first win of the season. Glenroe’s first loss, having played all the big guns already!
Any day them cunts get bate Is good. Big ball or small
That’s only our Junior team! Peter Casey and Alan Dempsey back for the game tomorrow night.
Just back from Croagh.
Nick Grene Sportsground maintenance intermediate hurling championship result. G/B 0-23 Claughaun/Old Christians 1-16.
Team G/B bounce back from last weeks defeat to pick up the victory, that’s six points out of a possible eight now. Damien O’Donovan gave a virtuoso display, must have hit 12 or 13 points. About five or six of those from play. The city lads were very sticky opponents, Kevin Howard was exceptional for them.
G/B v Effin in the last round, these sides met a couple of years back in Ballyagran in what was basically a relegation decider. Effin prevailed that night so Team G/B won’t lack for motivation.
Howard comes from good breeding.
Graem Mul has 3 of the balbec’s 5 points so far.
5 points to no score after 11 minutes.
Sounds like the city combo gave ye a game of it. Have they improved any bit? Howard is a fine hurler.
Sounds like Mulcahy is doing absolute wreck, up to 0-5 now.
Half time at the home of the All-Ireland champions.
Kilmallock 1-10 The ‘Well 1-06.
Hurler of the year 2018 Graeme Mul is on fire. Six points from play.
Gillane is some yoke too. Long free dropped in, caught it and smashes it to the roof of the net. Brilliant goal. Oisín O’Reilly replied straight away with a fine finish of his own.
Brudair’s imprint all over this team already, well organised, good at creating space, using possession well but a few wides thrown in also.
Bit of needle to this, intercounty and u21 team mates not afraid of getting stuck in to each other.
They’ve turned on the lights now.
In all honesty intermediate now is only glorified junior. We always had a cushion over them but there was only a couple of points in it late on with a few goalmouth scrambles to test the blood pressure.
Fair play to him for managing not to drop the Hurley
Graeme Mul 9 from play!
The well are doing well to keep it pucked out to him
Greame Mul even hit his last point off his right hand side
He pulled up fairly sharpish, looked like a hamstring or he went over his ankle. Hobbled on for a few minutes but was taken off then.
Is he gone from Mary I? If he doesn’t play any further part for The ‘Well this year and has no Fitzgibbon Cup commitments in January he’d get a nice rest which would be no bad thing perhaps.
Full time. 1-22 to 1-12. Graeme Mul just different gravy. 0-09 from play, even one off his right hand side! What a man. Great ovation for him and GOM when they went off late on.
What kind of a crowd is there?
