Just back from Croagh.
Nick Grene Sportsground maintenance intermediate hurling championship result. G/B 0-23 Claughaun/Old Christians 1-16.
Team G/B bounce back from last weeks defeat to pick up the victory, that’s six points out of a possible eight now. Damien O’Donovan gave a virtuoso display, must have hit 12 or 13 points. About five or six of those from play. The city lads were very sticky opponents, Kevin Howard was exceptional for them.
G/B v Effin in the last round, these sides met a couple of years back in Ballyagran in what was basically a relegation decider. Effin prevailed that night so Team G/B won’t lack for motivation.

Brudair’s imprint all over this team already, well organised, good at creating space, using possession well but a few wides thrown in also.
Bit of needle to this, intercounty and u21 team mates not afraid of getting stuck in to each other.

In all honesty intermediate now is only glorified junior. We always had a cushion over them but there was only a couple of points in it late on with a few goalmouth scrambles to test the blood pressure.

He pulled up fairly sharpish, looked like a hamstring or he went over his ankle. Hobbled on for a few minutes but was taken off then.
Is he gone from Mary I? If he doesn’t play any further part for The ‘Well this year and has no Fitzgibbon Cup commitments in January he’d get a nice rest which would be no bad thing perhaps.
Full time. 1-22 to 1-12. Graeme Mul just different gravy. 0-09 from play, even one off his right hand side! What a man. Great ovation for him and GOM when they went off late on.
