I wasn’t even aware of that,
I’ve made it easy for them to get their fix now :pensive:

That slow fellow from Cork who posts here should get the head caved in on him for posting pictures of children on this forum. What a reprobate lowlife.

I think we’ve beaten tipp in minor hurling and football and senior hurling and football for the first time ever in the one year.

Can’t argue with that, where would Cian Lynch fall in this

Just to reflect on Sunday again, it really was a terrific performance. After Callanan’s goal, which was a cunt of a goal to concede, we absolutely ate them alive. 2-22 to 1-8 from that point on but even when the match was close, we were totally dominant. The work rate & tackling was absolutely savage in its intensity. That is the foundation and we have the players to do damage on the scoreboard when we have that kind of platform.

The puckouts were poor enough in the first 15 minutes against the wind, Tipp won a few clean ones. I wouldn’t lay all the blame with Quaid, the options weren’t always there but I would blame him for the second goal- an aimless puckout on top of Ronan Maher with Limerick players making good runs, 10 seconds later the ball is in the back of the net. Still, a top class save from Callanan even if there is always an element of luck with those kind of ones. They sorted the puckouts too and it was always a platform.

The full-back line destroyed a much-vaunted Tipp inside line. In the second half, they were out in front every single time. Finn is the best corner-back I’ve ever seen for Limerick… if I had to be critical of him, he probably should have fouled Callanan for the goal. Casey was immense, possibly pushed for the second goal but once you go off your feet, you’re in a bad spot. Other than that, faultless. Richie was solid out as always, first to the ball a lot of the time.

Half-back line was huge again, Byrnes & Hannon in particular lorded it. Hannon with the real touches of class, Byrnes dominant physically and Dan is always cool out (two wides aside). Nasher was only on for a few minutes but got on a few balls, got a score, apparently he’s going well.

WOD just got on so much ball, he’s brilliant at picking up breaks. He hits as hard as Kyle & Tom aswell, a huge asset. I think DOD is class but WOD is untouchable in this form. Did hit a bad wide in the first half, I’d say he’d nearly have preferred not to take the shot on. Lynch is just magic when he’s in that form. His touch, his ability to win dirty ball, his acceleration to leave defenders for dead… again, if you were looking for criticism, it would be that he was trying to force goal chances when handy points were on. At the same time, we created a lot of goal chances when people were slightly critical of us in this area.

Hego was probably the quietest of our half-forwards but he was still class. His support running alongside Morrissey for the shot Hogan saved was just class; he set up the goal chance for Lynch while holding a broken hurley. He knew he couldn’t strike it but he continued to be active in play, looked for the ball, and then offloaded it with a handpass. Did hit a couple of bad wides in the first half. I think Kyle was even better than in the All-Ireland final, just walked all over them. His tackling is immense, the highlight being when he blew Morris out of it and set up Lynch for a score. Morrissey at his very best too, great shooting again… what a ball into Gillane too for the first goal. From 45 to 45, they reigned supreme.

You can’t say much more about Casey than what was already said: 1-5 from play, and setup the other goal with a great defensive flick. His wrists are spectacular. We knew he had the talent, but that was a real marker laid down, just roasted Barry. Gillane wasn’t at his spectacular best but was still very effective, winning a nice amount of ball inside. Again, shooting too high for the goal chance which is a pity. Mulcahy is just a little terrier, he leads the way in the work rate deperatment, hits like a man twice his size. The one-sidedness caught him twice, but still hit two points and set up a few more.

A great, great day. A marker laid down. If we produce that level of work rate again, we’ll be very very hard to beat.

Oh, one other thing.

Arguably the most impressive thing of all was how we responded to the goals. Callanan’s goal was a disaster from our point-of-view, very well-taken by him, and put them 5 points up. That seemed to wake us up and we killed them for the rest of the half.

We were totally on top when McGrath scored. A systems malfunction on the puckout, Casey on the ground and McGrath slipped in. It drew Tipp level when we probably should have been further ahead. But there wasn’t even a hint of panic and tapped over the next couple of scores. Cool as ice.

It makes me think that even if Callanan had scored a third goal, we would not have been beaten. We roll with the punches as well as anyone.

We beat Kieran’s by two tonight, season still alive. Not one for the purists, a real slog. Kieran’s played very deep and made it hard for us to break them down. Never more than 3 in it either way. Danny Neville scored a cracker of a goal at just the right time and we held on for dear life for the finish. @balbec’s crew next up a must win for both of us going by results so far, it’ll be between us for third I’d say.
Willie O’Meara missed both our games so far. Going for a scan next week on a knee injury and if it’s bad news I can’t see us going much further

Looks like it’ll be a serious battle between Monagea & Templeglantine in the other group too. Monagea had a great win over Tour in the league tonight.

Ya Kileedy look to be the ones to beat. They are good a team who’d kick on at the next level I think, but they keep getting caught.

I’m open to correction but id say in championship since the beginning of 2018 I’d say pat Horgans goal is the only goal we’ve conceded and not scored the next point and Galways goal in the dying minutes of the final.
