Limerick GAA - knocked down, but will get up again

He was at it again last night

The logo on the bouncers jersey is gas .

Shoot the glass.

Would someone not stand on him?

You could try it I suppose but you’d want to be getting it right first time round as you wouldn’t be getting a second opportunity to do it.

Half-time in Pairc Ui Rinn, down by 2. The quality is poor if I’m being honest. Cork shooting poor and Limerick mistakes are then giving them chances. Limerick forwards working hard enough but not really sticking.

Shane O’Regan at full-forward for Cork has been the best player on show, very good in the air. Barry doesn’t look comfortable at full-back.

O’Shea had a goal chance very well saved but has been quiet. O’Brien very quiet too. Connolly probably our best, Duff & O’Brien doing well too.

By no means out of it, if we started motoring at all, there are flashes. But I suppose Cork would say the same. All to play for, I’d hope for an improvement in quality though.

A waste of 10 euro really.

Cork the better team, slightly frustrated with Limerick tbh.

The goal was crucial though. Two goal chances in the game, Cork took theirs, we missed ours.

O’Regan & Turnbull threatening inside for Cork, we were never able to feed our inside line with quality ball. Connolly probably our best alright.

inside line got nothing… Some serious fuck acting at times when on the ball… Turning it over when not under pressure.

A distinctly average Limerick side. Not a stitch of a half forward line. Thought Rory Duff, Ronan Connolly and Mark McCarthy were our best 3 players. All 3 worked really hard without the ball and did well on the ball.

I was disappointed with a few lads, work rate and tackling very poor when they didn’t have the ball.

Much as I expected overall to be honest.

McCarthy was poor first half I thought. 3 times basic skills let him down when if he controlled it he was in on goal.

I really don’t like this under 20 grade. It’s a very weak grade. You’ve lads doing leaving certs, J1s and it’s picked from a small pool. The old 21s where you had the best minors mixed in with seniors was a really good format. This format is crap.

Cork should have won that game by a lot more that what they did, their full-forward line did untold this evening but nonetheless a battling performance from Limerick considering they were without the services of Jerome Boylan, Conor Nicholas, Dan Minehan and Brian O’Grady who would have all made a difference this evening.

He miscontrolled the 1st one in alright, thought that was the only one. He lost 1 ball in the sun alright at one stage but that happened other players at times too. Took his 2 scores really well and tackled & worked hard, only forward to do so to the required standard in my opinion.

Our half forward line were invisible throughout, which led to some of our inside line having to be our puckout winners too. They had zero supply from outside and had to rely on racing to the wings to try and gain possession.

Limerick hurling in a dark place

We’re fucked

Nonsense grade. Go back to u21 and proper minor.

Agreed. The step up to senior hurling is really big now. They’ve massively diluted the 20s pool.

Watching it here and you’re right. Put himself about more than I remember

Every time he tackled he turned the Cork player or made them spill the ball. Other forwards didn’t support enough. General work rate in the forwards was poor from us i thought tbh and that should be inexcusable from now on for every Limerick team
