He was but he was working in Kilmallock as an excise agent or something.
Informative rating.
Tobin and Mulcahy have both got a raw deal with this management team imo, high ball into both those lads is a waste of time.
If they get the sliotar into their hand both are deadly accurate.
Absolutely. They are too short for a high ball but this is the same management who insist on playing a two man full forward line with Dowling as one of the two. They havenât a fucking clue but are good at politics and so are still in place.
Oh it is ridiculous mate, at times we can produce spells of savage hurling when itâs off the cuff - nothing trained like.
We got a few scores last Saturday night that were very impressive, for me TJ has been a great servant for Limerick Hurling but he is not anywhere near up to the job.
Donât like saying it but he needs to go. And the sooner the better,
Off to the Balbec town. We go again!
Limerick 1-12 Tipperary 2-9.
A deserved point, but it should have been two having clawed back a deficit to lead by three with time running out. Tipp worked a goal and we conceded a stupid free from the 13m line after a late hit by Paudie Browne on a Tipp forward who was going nowhere.
Ian Ryan got a late free to tie it up and, while the win would have been great, a draw is not the worst result. Youâd feel weâll need 6 points to ensure survival and some of the teams weâll be targeting for those points, like Clare and Offaly, both won today.
Danny Neville was outstanding and Seanie Buckley kicked two great points in the second half. Of the young lads, Peter Nash was very industrious when introduced and tapped home a goal after a long delivery from Neville was fielded and laid off by GearĂłid Hegarty. Mike OâDonovan of Galbally worked hard when introduced early after Stephen Cahill was correctly black-carded for a stupid late hit. It was a pity, as Cahill himself had started promisingly and came up the field to kick our only point from play in the first half.
One wonders what the management think Stephen Kelly and Pa Ranahan still have to offer. Both were septic. Time to go with the young fellas now and give them their head.
The ref was very fussy.
Hegarty did not lay it off, he fisted it and hit the crossbar when it fell down for nash.
Neville & Buckley did well in the second half and Ian Ryan was as reliable as ever.
Kelly did not contribute.
Should have closed it out but Tipp got a good goal. Josh Keane was their most effective player and got them back into it.
Things ainât good if he was our best player. Did Alan Moloney play & how well etc?
I was late in and had no program so only recognised a few Tipp players. I dont know.
Had planned to go but couldnât make it for a finish. Youâd have taken a point going into it but given the circumstances of their late goal youâd have to be disappointed. Means we still need at least two other wins and possibly three.
Worry that the majority of scores seem to have been frees.
Where did Hegarty play in the first half? Didnât seem to be getting on a lot of ball from the radio.
Was speaking to a few Tipp lads who were at the game today âWhat a shit pitchâ was their summation of Kilmallock.
Disgusting to make lads play football in those conditions.
It should have been played in a proper pitch like Newcastle West.
Wrong field ?
Clare match is in Newcastlewest?, think Iâll make the trip that weekend if itâs safe
All football should be played in those conditions.
The pitch was on bad condition and the goalmouths were awful.
@Balbec I have to report the town looked rundown in the rain today and there was a sad amount of dogshite on the footpaths. Iron Mikeâs smoking shed looks ridiculous. An interesting encounter was to bump into the real Ciaran exiting The Old Stand bar as we walked away to the car.
