A coin toss I believe.
Doesnt matter. We could play them in the field in Ballyagran and theyd still hand us our arses sliced seasoned and roasted on a plate with two veg
Hickey must be dropped. Fucking brainless hurler.
Gavin is a quality left wing back, or even centre back. He needs to be moved back there. Always up there as one of our best performers when played back there.
Team id play v Dublin;
Id be giving Kevin OâBrien a good run aswell, perhaps even a start instead of Nash. Casey in at 2 and 4 for a run too. Will Donaghue & Alan Dempsey in aswell in 2nd half.
Hickey needs to be dropped. Use him as a sub for a bit. At the moment he is not good enough to start.
Good piece from the Examiner back in January

Is that a crosshair or implied as one? shoot him in the leg just wound him.
The bastard has made a show of us. Weâve gone 5 years backwards under him⌠I fully expect the county board to hand him a 5 year contract tomorrow.
I think he has to go before the Dublin game if weâre to salvage anything from this year. Himself and Clarke just donât have itâŚmaybe the county board will actâŚlot of stuff was said publicly which is mentioned in that article that canât be taken back.
For the sake of Limerick Hurling, he needs to do the decent thing now.
Big statements
former county treasurer Paddy Quilligan. âWe didnât seem to have any more backs to bring on. We wonât win anything unless weâre promoted.â
Chairman Oliver Mann backed up Quilligan: âThe championship doesnât matter at this stage, but everything will fall into place once we get promoted. Teams only progress when they play against top teams.â
Fuck em all to death. Cunt bags.
Something has to give nowâŚitâs not fucking good enough.
He wont go and the cb dont have the balls to fire him. The only hope is a 10-15 point hammering by Dublin and maybe a light bulb will go off somewhere
I donât want to see Limerick lads who give their lives to the game going out to get a 10-15 point trimming off the likes of 2nd tier Dublin before we get our act together mate.
It shouldnât be like that. This bullshit has to stop or weâre at nothing.
I dont disagree. But I have no faith in a management team that are about as useful as tits on a bull.
That was awfully disappointing. I canât see Teeje being sacked though⌠might be gone at the end of the year but Iâd say weâll battle on for the Championship as things are. Point to the red card, and to the NaP players.
The thing is we might have won were it not for the red card, Clare are no great shakes and were pretty poor today but we had no idea how to play with only 14 men. We may have won, but it would still only have been papering over the cracks. I think we were coming into the game a bit more around the time of the red, but tactically, we couldnât adapt.
Nash & Morrissey are very talented players but both were poor today. Nash tried his best but things never went right for him, Flanagan held him well. Morrissey just never got into the game, donât think he was utilised right. Thought it was a bit weird playing Mulcahy in front of Hannon, very tough for him to get into the game either. No forwards on the bench really either, youâd think heâd have stuck KOB on when we were desperate for a goal. If youâre not going to stick him on in that situation, why is he even on the panel? Where was Seanie Tobin today?
I actually thought Hickey was much better today than he has been. Still overruns the ball all the time, but defensively, he was better. We battled well, I donât think I could fault the players for effort but Clareâs half-back line cleaned us out again, our puckout strategy is a disaster and if it wasnât for Cian Lynch, weâd have won absolutely nothing.
Paul Browne tried his best to win it on his own. A huge performance from him, but sadly, one man canât do it all. Clareâs shooting was woeful but we handed so many points to them. The one where Byrnes missed his free, the one where English took an age to put in a clearance and got robbed, the one where Quaid took about half an hour to try and find an unmarked Morrissey and by the time he hit it, McInerney was there and he put it over.
Ref was a bollocks. How Conlon took so long to get a yellow, Iâll never know. The goal was a bit of a joke too⌠the red was a definite red- stupid by Barry and it did cost us but I suppose heâll learn the hard way. Clare were a bit cuter than us though, SOD is some man to buy a free and their backs were very clever with obstructions when moving the ball to a free man, Dillon was at it the whole time. Block off the forward and give your man a few extra seconds to pick a pass. Could learn from them there and with their puckouts.
The worst thing that happened was the narrow loss to Kilkenny in Croke Park in 2014. We still had some momentum after winning Munster the year before and through sheer doggedness the players roused themselves that year.
Ultimately it was the last hooray for that team which had been on the go for the previous five or six years. The team needed to be rebuilt, hard decisions made but what we got instead was 2015 and today. Gross ineptitude.
In typical fashion our CB rushed through a brand new spanking three year deal after the Kilkenny defeat. And that has led us to what we saw today.
I was just thinking the same thing on the way home this evening.
Look there is plenty if talent there. Its a question of getting the right team to coach them
In fairness, as a neutral, I thought the ref was good. Didnât really affect the outcome. Limerick could, and should really have had two other second yellows.
They just look so disjointed, and the apparent lack of contact between management and the nap lads, pointed to by that interview, seems damning enough in itâs own right.
I donât know about rebuilt in 2014. What players would you have discarded and who would you have brought in at that stage?
Most of the players that are in the squad are probably the ones who should be there, the only really obvious absentee is Alan Dempsey, who wouldnât have been playing today anyway. Breen will be a loss too imo, has his limitations but has always been a useful player for us.
I do think itâs more tactics than personnel that are the problem.
