I donāt think that guy knows what the word manager means. If the players are forming cliques then the manager acts. Itās the managers job to make a team or fuck players off who are causing trouble.

Funding should be withdrawn from the hurling setup and given to the footballers. The hurlers, despite being given the very best of everything have proven time and time again they arenāt deserving of such preferential treatment. They take part in, at a stretch, an 8 team tournament and have consistently delivered poor performances when it mattered. The footballers on the other hand have overachieved, with meager resources. Time to admit we are just never going to make it as a hurling county and switch the attention to the big ball.Even Na Piarsaigh have seen the writing on the wall and have started investing heavily in their football team.

All PJās money wouldnāt keep Limerick football in div 3.
They stayed there for 2 years without a penny of it and that with a squad of players which were ānurturedā in one of the most under funded underage programs in the country. Itās not that long ago Limerick were competing in Division 1 of a four division football league. The hurlers canāt get to division 1 of a one division league.

In that timeframe, the hurlers have delivered 5 provincial and 1 AIl-Ireland titles, as well as 4 provincial and 1 AI club crowns.
Football in Limerick will always be fucked because itās teams are run by people from 2 clubs, with a third occasionally featuring in the underage setup. What other senior inter-county squad would have itās entire management team made up of two clubs, with the exception of Stack? As regards funding, the underage was certainly neglected, but the senior team is resourced on a par with the hurlers and is far better funded and catered for than Clare, Tipperary et al. What has this delivered? Fuck all, thatās what.
Football in Limerick, for right or wrong, is widely regarded as an embarrassment to be tolerated. I played senior football with Limerick and it was as much a jokeshop then as it is now. The interest, bar a small pocket, isnāt there from the supporters, clubs, public and a lot of players. It will never change.

Limerick were only in Div 1 after the league was restructured. They found their level fairly quickly.
Hereās a thought. Why not set up a Football board (maybe head it up with a FF politician) and raise the funds to drive Limerick football where it deserves to be.With all the dedicated football people in Limerick we will have Sam in Newcastle West in no time.

Tbf the footballers have loads of booze hounds in there ranks that people regularly turn a blind eye to because the footballers are an āhonestā bunch or some other bullshit that cunt aherne comes up with once they there arses handed to them by tipp or Clare.
Heās the least of the problems with that group of players.
