O Connell, Byrnes and hegarty are the heartbeat of the team. They’ll be all very hard to replace. English, Byrnes, o Connell, pat Ryan, Nash, two lynches and Tom m should all be involved with the senior panel next year.

Agree. A few more will hopefully join the intermediates and improve more. The amount of these guys with genuine potential to go on and be senior players is incredible for an u21 team.
They have to get the backroom team right though. That is the key.
They fucked it right up in 02 and realistically we didnt recover until 2013.
There is now almost a perfect blend available of youth and experience. I pray they get it right

Agree. The next year to three should see us as strong as we’re going to get for quite a while. Teege doesn’t inspire confidence for next year though.
Watching the game back here, Peter Casey is some bit of stuff. he roasted us last year when he was playing with Na Piarsiagh’s Junior team.
Cian Lynch’s point just before halftime was unbelievable. As good a score as you’ll see at any level this year imo.
He’s going to be unmarkable

He is a super prospect, along with Nash they are proper forwards which we’ve always traditionally struggled to find.
So proud of these lads, and our pitch invasion last night was a joy to see.
