Itās interesting that Kilmallock, All-Ireland club finalists in 2015, had no-one on the all conquering Limerick U21 team. Was there anyone on the subs? Hanley is it? Maybe the only fella that was on panel?

Iād go along with that. Any of Na Piarsigh, Patrickswell or Doon could have won it last year or could win it this year. Not much between them and Kilmallock yet Kilmallock went all the way to the All-Ireland final. Any of them can and do beat Kilmallock, Patrickswell did so in the last game.
Adare are a step behind those but are good. Ahane probably similar or below Adare. You have a team like Murroe-Boher with some fine players getting beat from pillar to post by everyone this year.
Club hurling in Limerick is hugely strong and looks like staying that way for the foreseeable future. Only other championship probably as competitive and strong is Galway.

but Limericks standard has improved immeasurably in the last few years. The last 5/6 minor teams have been competitive and and that brings up the base level a lot.

Havenāt won a 21 title since 2011 or a minor since 2010. Itās competitive with 4 decent teams at the moment. Not a bad thing. And lads from smaller clubs are getting a look in.

absolute Bollox. O Connell was very good against Galway. O Connell plays with his head up, always looks to use the ball well and doesnt just lash it down the field. His distribution needs to improve but he should be brought into the senior panel next year. There is a bit of needle to him aswell which I like, Same with Byrnes.
Nickie Quaid is possibly the most underrated goalkeeper in Ireland. I wouldnt have any other Goalkeeper in Ireland over Nickie. Does the basics brilliantly.
Bollox to all this drip feeding 21s in aswell. There not 15 year olds. Dempsey, Lynchx2, Nash, English, Casey, Byrnes,O Connell, Pat Ryan, Morrissey all good enough to be included in the 30 next year.

OāConnell was the worst player on the field in the Galway gameā¦ four years at 21s and not a look in at senior- Heās playing with a junior club and in football country too, not gonna happen. Great heart all-right but youād imagine that ship has sailed now unless he transfers to a proper club and hurls at a decent level.

Destroyed last year. What you are seeing displayed here is the usual Limerick hype and building lads up to be world beatersā¦ the difference between u21 and senior is huge. KK donāt even take u21 serious, Cody doesnāt want to know about lads till they are 23+ and are properly conditioned for the senior game. In Limerick we have lads destroyed by that age.
