Limerick GAA, Still Getting Knocked Down

Why would you put hannon frees? Downes closely followed by Dowling were the two worst players on the field.

That was an embarrassing attempt for an intercounty hurler. Downes and his fucking glove. My auld lad was saying it was some lunatic from ballysteen that bust downes hand a few years ago finished him?

Who would you put on them so? And sure pal, course they were.

I doubt it. Encountered him once in a county final when managing our u21 football team. He got our centre back sent off after 20 minutes. He threw himself down after getting a handy little punch to the jaw.

That fucking glove. Every ball bounces out of his hand

Ciaran, Foley and Beefy.

Thatā€™s him alright. He got Walshy sent off in the county final in 2014 as well. We still beat them though.

And Iron Mike please.

And Mark Keane for chief entertainments officer

Iā€™m not sure who they will bring in but thatā€™s the three thereā€¦ Beefy an all round skills coach - Foley on specifics and Ciaran to preach.

We may as well keep Clarkey while weā€™re at it

For half back?

Congrats to pa Ranahan on a fine career for the Limerick footballers. Pity he didnā€™t get that Munster medal he deserved it.

Heā€™s the only man

was tempted to do a review of the season but what would be the point?
weā€™ve learned the square root of sweet FA over the past 2 years.

2014 is looking more and more like the freak combination of the benefits of a few monthsā€™ worth of coaching from Oā€™Grady and the torrential downpour in Croke Park leveling the playing field.

the aggressive workrate, hounding half forwards and bench impact of the Allen era are nowhere to be seen.
the template DOG and TJ (may the Lord have mercy on him, and us for having to live through it) were laying down initially is long gone; reduced to an ill-disciplined, shapeless rabble

can anyone tell me what the FF line are meant to be doing, either in possession or on puck outs? nobody on the pitch or sideline seemed to know, despite repeated and colourful suggestions from the stands .

where to from here? Kiely had the 21s playing a nice blend of the short and long game with Lynch the main conduit for anything that wasnā€™t initiated by the half back line, and the result was some of the most attractive and imaginative hurling Iā€™ve ever seen from a LK team. Hard to see how he could revive the remaining 2005 minors and even some of the 21s from 2011 look beyond that type of game now.

Iā€™m tempted to let Daly in for a year or two. as simplistic and restrictive as his teams tend to be, they all gave their all for him on the pitch. if you canā€™t summon the drive to hurl for him, youā€™re the problem.
He might at least restore standards in training, and be able to distinguish between the has-beens and the merely disillusioned on the panel. That would represent progress, even if heā€™s just winding the clock back to 2013.

Let Kiely have the job whenever he feels he can commit, be that after he retires early from educating those animals, or sooner if he prefers.
knowing our brains trust, theyā€™ll tell him itā€™s now or never, and weā€™ll be right back to square one.

+1 to all of thatā€¦ more or less had the same chat with an ex County player earlier, Daly would at least get them back working and fighting for the cause, thatā€™s half the battle.

Are ye gettiing kinerk

Hopefully not, Clare are terrible.

If the U21s get out if Munster, Kiely could we leave it for another season

He has left the Clare set up and is coming home. It is signed and sealed himself and Daly.
