Won Dublin’s first Leinster in 50 years. Unlucky not to get them to an AI final in 2013. Kept a Clare team full of old men ultra competitive in the early & mid noughties. A puck of a ball away from reaching the final in 05.
Hardly a failure.

2014 Leinster Final is as good a reason as any to run a mile from Daly. A storm of lateral and backwards passes before sending the ball long to an unmarked Tyrell for an entire 70 mins. Another slave to “the system”.

Left a Dublin team in absolute decline. Clare team may have been aging, but were hard and competitive experienced and skilled in an era when a team didn’t have to eat sleep drink and breathe training 24/7 to compete with the drones.
Dublin had bags of money and he was lucky to have some rolls Royce hurlers come through.
Limerick were a puck of a ball away from beating clare. That is a poor argument. They lost.

Yes thanks to seamus hickey at full back for Limerick. Daly has little or no experience in rebuilding teams. He gets everything out of what’s there but that’s not what Limerick need. They need a complete rebuild.
