Ah ffs, it would be classic Limerick to throw in a lad for his debut in a championship match away from home against a team who wonât spare timber, days after he finished his leaving cert when he has barely trained with the seniors, never mind even played even as much as a league game.
Iâve great time for the lad, his time will come but throwing him into a struggling team wouldnât be the wisest move. We had the same thing with Shaughs being thrown in to senior championship when he was only 16. Too much hype and expectation on young lads.
By all means give some of them their chance next season when they have a full seasons training behind them.

Nah, Davy threw Kelly into the deep end against Dublin in 12 in far more challenging circumstances and that worked superbly, both on the day and subsequently.
If these Limerick minors from the last couole of years are worth anything they should be starting.
If not then thatâs a serious question on their character due to the shit that is starting currently.
By that logic if Austin Gleeson or the Bennets were from Limerick we would have them mothballing during the summer. Let Ronan Lynch start at centre back with ALTC on one wing and maybe Colin Ryan on the other wing against Westmeath. They should all have been training with the panel during the league getting them accustomed to the set up.
