Condon - McCarthy - Hickey
P O’Brien - O’Mahony - S O’Brien
Ryan - Browne
Breen - Dowling - Hannon
Mulcahy - Downes - Lynch

Reasoning,
Leave Richie FB, who else will do better at this stage? Condon is not a better option.
Leave Gavin at 6, offer him protection & let him hurl away.
Move Dowling CF, he’s a ball winner so include him in the play.
Put Hannon WF, his scoring when on the ball in space is too good to ignore.
Breen. May not have huge hurling but he frightens the shite out of wing backs.
Downes FF, let him thrive where he always has.

Pretty much on the money. Wayne for Paudie and maybe shuffle some forwards but that’s about right.

I actually am gonna revisit this bit. What about Waterford? Waterford have 9 of their 2013 panel that we beat in the Munster final on their current panel. Limerick have two (well one has dropped to the intermediates and three more have been called up so maybe 4), certainly there’s a good few to come in over the next year or two. If Waterford can challenge we can too.

That team has something about them, too much quality not to click soon. I saw more in them against KK over 2 games than against Limerick. Alright Limerick beat them but they battled hard to come up short.

On the other hand, Limerick were so poor against Tipp with such important players like McCarthy & Hickey getting such a roasting does not bode well for confidence when they meet a big team.

All in all as things stand, if Clare played Limerick in 3/4 weeks i would fancy Clare to do the business.
