Limerick GAA - We get knocked down 🐐

A good/worthwhile selector should have his say, yes.

Agree, but convince O’Grady his gameplan is outdated/unsuited? Come on.

Ger won a Junior B county league with Doon only last week. Got a goal in the final too I think.

EDIT- Re the sauce, his name is Beary, after all!

A sound lad:pint:

I actually thought he was ballhopping me when he told me his last name was Beary

Yeah, Paul Beary’s father comes from around Oola.

Sure isn’t the cross on the Oola road to Hospital called Beary’s Cross?

Yes, for the family home on the left by boher pitch

“The Oola All-Ireland” we’ll be calling it in years to come.

I hear we will have 3 changes for sunday, might as well put out the light blue club team at this stage

Just from No. 10 up, that’s all.

Just the one change and one positional switch I hear.

I take it that means @glasagusban’s boyfriend is starting?

Football team for Sligo named. Would expect a change or two before throw-in.

  1. Brian Scanlon (Gerald Griffin’s),

  2. Mark O Riordan (Croom) 3. Johnny McCarthy (St.Kieran’s), 4. Sean O’Dea (Kilteely/Dromkeen)

  3. Iain Corbett (Newcastlewest), 6. Padraig Browne (Fr. Casey’s), 7. Pa Ranahan (Ballysteen)

  4. Thomas Lee (Ballylanders), 9. John Galvin (Croom)

  5. Darragh Tracey (St. Kieran’s), 11. Danny Neville (Ballysteen), 12. Seanie Buckley (Captain)(Dromcollogher/Broadford)

  6. Ger Collins (Monaleen), 14. Killian Phair (Dromcollogher/Broadford), 15. Ian Ryan (Vice Captain)(St. Senan’s

Just the Politically Motivated Understudy ensuring a few vote for the future and doing as he is bid by the CB stooges in Caherdavin.

Where would you expect changes?

They need key players to get into the game more quickly on Saturday and not be coughing up so much soft ball.

Gearoid Hegarty has gone well in the last couple of games, I reckon he will start. He can make the wrong decisions at times but will cover the ground. They may gamble on Boris too although it may be more prudent to keep him in reserve and introduce when necessary.

Tom Lee has been fairly subdued in the championship so far, we’ll need a big performance from him.

Lee wont start, buckley to midfield and treacy at wing forward. Prob keep boris in reserve alright. Lucey could come in for Corbett also.

I wasn’t that impressed with Hegarty the last day, but he did better in the second half. He seemed to get sucked back very deep in the first half. Lee had as poor a game as I’ve seen him have for Limerick.

Hegarty seemed very jittery in first half, his first champ game starting so that should have blown away the nerves. Dont think Galvin had the game they’re all saying he had either to be honest!!

I’d agree with that and said as much earlier in the week. He had a storming last 15 minutes but was quiet up to that.
Riordan was the real star.
