They false advertise the place as the sunny south east thatâs all I know and they are very rude to visitors, they are the French of Ireland.
without the cuisine or the alluring women.
Agree. Are they trying to kick off the league with a glamour tie or what?
Yes. Wexford deserve respect.
2009 it was. . Horrible weather in Wexford alright.

Ciaran Carey has slammed the Limerick county board in light of the under-21 management selection process.
Leo OâConnor and John Kiely are set to be ratified as minor and U21 managers respectively at tomorrow nightâs county board meeting.
Brian Ryan was overlooked for both roles despite having just led the minors to successive Munster titles, while three-time All Star Carey has lost out on the under-21 role having served just one year in the position.
Limerick were eliminated from the Munster Championship by a star-studded Clare side that won the All-Ireland under-21 title for the third successive year last Saturday.
But Carey is peeved at how the matter was handled by the county board having recently sat down with them for an end of year review.
He said: âIt was a positive meeting. But prior to the meeting there was a rumour going around that John Kielyâs name was mentioned for the Limerick 21s.
âThe following day I got it through a very reliable source that John Kiely was already put in place. So with that I phoned the chairman, Oliver Mann, who is a (Patrickswell) clubman of mine. I said, âOliver, is there any truth in relation to John Kiely?â
âI just wanted a bit of confirmation and clarity around it. And Oliver reassured me that there was no truth in it, he wasnât put in place. He said, âIf he was, Iâd phone you, Ciaranâ. And lo and behold, surprise, surprise, there was never a phonecall.â
When contacted today, Mann was unwilling to get into the nuts and bolts of the matter.
He said: âIâm not going to get into a war of words with Ciaran. I just want to say this much: thereâs a county board meeting on Thursday night and John Kielyâs name is up for ratification as under-21 manager.
âNobody has the under-21 managerâs job got yet. Itâs subject to ratification by the board.â
However, the process by which Kielyâs name was arrived at is what has angered Carey.
He added: âFrom my point of view, there is a bit of a pattern here in Limerick in relation to this.
âThereâs an awful lot of people that are hurt around this presently, including myself, my family, my kids and the backroom team that I had.
âThe one thing that you would expect, for giving 17 years to Limerick senior hurling and putting your body on the line for that length of time, basically, is a bit of respect and a bit more congruence.
âSo Iâm highlighting this to expose them really for what they truly are.
âEnough is enough. Itâs gone on too long and they need to be challenged and they need to be told that you canât treat past players, past managers or human beings in actual fact, the way that they treat them.â[/QUOTE]
no humans involved, buddy
Leo OâConnor and Kiely ratified at the meeting tonight. Feel sorry for Ciaran, he had a thankless task this year against a star studded Clare team.
Trying to market the league, the stupid cunts that are the powers-that-be always start with a glamour tie between the (seemingly) two strongest sides in 1B. Fairly idiotic as whoever loses is basically out of contention for promotion and interest/attendances will wane until the end of the league. Should have it on as the last match in the group. In saying that Wexford have both us and Waterford at home and will beat one of them, if not both.
Fixtures as follows
Waterford (H)
Antrim (A)
Wexford (A)
Offaly (H)
Laois (H)
Football fixtures
Sligo (H)
Tipp (A)
Armagh (H)
Wexford (A)
Fermanagh (A)
Clare (H)
Louth (A)
The Camogie team
I donât believe Ciaran Carey used the word congruence.

I have it on good authority that the Politically Motivated Understudy and the Bean Counter were instrumental in shafting the legend from Patrickswell. It seems all those lunches in Greenes are paying off. Did any of you hear anything about this lads?
Yes. I believe the lunches in Greenes were top class.
Never been in there. I must make it my business to go there next time Iâm in town. I could be the next senior manager when PMU fucks up.
That was the one thing that stuck in my head from the article too
Are you implying that he was misquoted in the National media? Thatâs a serious allegation.
He was describing Ballybrown, the reporter picked the word up incorrectly.
Sounds like somebody missed a boat there somewhere. Thatâs a serious CV for a 28 year old.
Agree. We should be battering down his door for next season.
Where has he got his hurling coaching from if heâs primarily a football man? Does he hurl with monaleen? Is he a football coach too?
Didnât hear anything, Batt. Something has definitely gone on in the backround, Kip has been the golden boy for a couple of years and then he is unceremoniously dumped out. He looks nailed on for the u-21 job in two years time, though.
Ciaran should have got a second year. His own club-mate shafting him is terrible. Kiely is meant to be a top class coach though so hope he does well next year, all depends on the draw.
Just back from Mick Neville Park. Premier Intermediate hurling championship result. Bruree 2-05 Croom 0-10.
Close game all the way through but low on quality, a cracking goal from Michael âMixerâ Lane in the second half decided it. What Bruree lack in ability they make up for in heart and spirit. On a difficult night for hurling, with incessant drizzle, they ground out the win. Peter Lawlor was decent for Croom. Conor Allis had a nightmare on the frees, missed a rake of them including a scoreable one with the last puck of the game with the chance to salvage a point. Lengthy stoppage at the end of the first half after one of the Bruree lads got an awful belt of a hurley across the knee (accidentally). He had to go off but was able to watch the second half from the sideline so hopefully it is not too serious.
Two senior football quarter finals tomorrow afternoon in Kilmallock and two senior hurling quarter finals in the Gaelic Grounds.
