Great to see some Sexton Street lads going back to their GAA roots, albeit it not hurling.
As great a game as soccer is, it doesn’t compare to representing your parish/county, It’s a pity the teachers inside their gave up on the kids with regards to Gaelic games, especially considering the background they had between Fleury, McGrath and Moore etc. Ard Scoil/Castletroy College teachers would do well to rival that
Pallasgreen v Galbally in the senior football relegation final today.
Pallas won’t go down without a fight - literally.
Where’s that on
Bruff at 3pm.
I’d nearly fly home for that .
Bruff will need a couple of good lads on the gate at the dressingroom corner
Is SLR playing for Galbally?
Is he in the photo?
Who were Glencunane Rovers?
The jap created a combo of garryspillane, bally & the gaels in early 90s. Won a county senior football with players such as a couple of quanes, Frankie Carroll, . Think it was one of the 3 in a row lost by hospital
Around 91
Some very good news coming regarding Limerick football in the near future!!
Just back from Junior hurling quarter-final in Bruff, Na Piarsaigh beat Stakers by a point.
A few points of note:
Damien Quigley (44) still playing (and holding his own) for Na Piarsaigh.
Ref over picky, match could have gone either way in the end after two fine Staker goals.
Eight Euros entrance was a bit pricey for a junior quarter-final.
Na Piarsaigh have an U16 final in Bruff at 5pm but the Junior board refused to hold the matches as a double header.
Very few waited around to fork out more money for the U16 match.

Bad form. Ye are 5 down at HT.
Kilmallock win by 6.
They’re getting a shit load of transfers from Kerry? Otherwise they’d be better of concentrating on hurling where they actually have a decent team.
Senior semi finals on today. Hard to see Na Piarsaigh not comfortably beating Ahane.
The first game should be a lot tighter.
It’s hard to see past a Na Piarsaigh win but Alan Dempsey is carrying a knock and may be a doubt to start. Ahane have some good young lads and will give Na P a game but I fancy the City side to come through.
The other one is much harder to call. Someday, Doon won’t shit the bed when they get to the semi-finals. Whether that day will be today remains to be seen. Kilmallock are the more clinical and proven but Doon have latent potential that they have to deliver on at some stage. I still have my doubts about them.
Kilmallock by 3
Na Piarsaigh by 6
Ahane will be hard bet
